Opf delete UK

Based in uk currently waiting for x3m , coming from f80 m3 s . As the title suggests has anyone been successful in removing the opf filters ?
Had mperformance exhaust on m3 and not sure i can live with the quieter x3m for long.
PCW MODS have said they can do something just wondering if anyone here has already.

Removal will require coding, so it’s a simple removal, coding might be more of an issue? PCW is always a safe option, especially as the stock system looks great IMO.

If you are looking only for the sound you can order and install ( like I did ) :

https://www.supersprint.com/ww-en/bm...t-left.aspx#!/

My opinion "Affordable price and great result " .
To avoid any yellow light you must map the car. You don't need to increase the HP if you want , you can only set the odf data in the ECU and maybe if your are lucky and your dealer is not so nasty you can save your warranty .

For sure if you do a map and you blown the engine forget any BMW support .

I know manhart is doing some adapter for those who want to remove the opf without mapping the car . They told me that the ECM is under development .

I'm hoping for a solution where I retain the OPF, no ECU remapping, and no crazy cost i.e. Akrapovic exhaust.

I'm keen on the PCW exhaust place too, but yet to see an X3M go through there yet?

Need more noise, in Sport+, no burbling, no cracking, nothing

Keeping OPF you will never have a good result . Most of the new performance cars with OPF sound like a VW POLO 1.0 Cc .

If you visit the Akrapovic web site they say very cleary : When installing the Akrapovič Evolution link pipe set, remapping the ECU is mandatory in order to prevent potential “check engine light” warning signals.

At the moment to get more sound from your car the best thing to do is removing the OPF remappiung the ECU as Akrapovic suggested .

There is zero solutions, only one way

1. Delete OPF

2. REMAP CAR

all others are bullshit, with OPF filter car can't sound

May I ask where you are getting this done? Are you going for the OPF and res delete?

That's good to hear.

Any thoughts on impact to warranty? What sort of price are they charging?

If you remove the filter and remap you won't have a warranty on the powertrain at least, as any issue will be blamed on it, engine/diff/xdrive/exhaust/gearbox etc.....

Also if you have financed the car watch out as BMWFS will not like it and can default you.

BMW FS don't tend to go that far unless it's a dramatic change eg hybrid turbos. They just don't want anything that will damage the car.

ECU change with no power upgrade and returned to stock at the end of term etc is normally ok.

Plus they need to find out. Doing mods and making a YouTube channel about a financed car is just retarded

Try to ask Manhart if they will make this for your car. I ordered it for my f90, they claim you can delete the OPF without any ECU tuning. So you keep your warranty.
