What are your thoughts on door projector logos?

I'm on the fence on these; what do you think?

It's a genuine OEM part so not as bad as the ///M grill inserts lol.

Granted there are like 37 ///M logos already, but...

Is the above pic realistic? I'm assuming in darkness it would look like that?

Edit - do you have the OEM ones or the aftermarket? Wondering if the OEMs are better or just more expensive.

Hi,
Yes, that's what they look like in low light, and are even brighter in the dark.
But you won't see them at all in daylight, or much under bright parking lights in a lot.
They are just replacing the plain white puddle lights, and you don't see those unless it's darkish either.

FYI, I've had both AM and OE, and the OEs are definitely better.
They don't get as hot, won't melt or fade the slide that holds the image, and last way longer...
I've had multiple sets of the AMs but once I switched (in my 2008 X5) several years ago, never had one of OEs go bad, they are worth the extra $$s

Also, if you would like a different image (the ///M is classic) for some variety, try these (3 sets of slides only, you need to buy the lights separately) they offer 3 other options...
I have them (using the middle one) and this is the way they look in the dark, bright and very clear, just as in the pictures.

I have the OEM one where the light part is cover by metal material, I believed aftermarket are plastic. They look nice when it dark but if there are lights out there it won’t look like the picture

I have these on my G82. On the F97 won't these be washed out by the projectors that are in the base of the fender?

I turned the "light curtains" off on my X4MC, so I can see the projectors on the back doors too.

Thanks for the additional details!

I saw those extra logos on a site - I do like the "upgraded" ///M one.

I'm surprised I'm not getting flaming responses - I figured people would hate these!

Who cares... it's your car
If they take over your payment, then they get a say...

I stopped worrying about that years ago.

The colors are actually very bright, this is on the concrete floor in my garage, but they are even brighter on asphalt.

The graininess is from the iPhone camera in the dark, not the actual image.

Can someone give me a basic idea of how difficult (or not) these are to self install. Keep in mind I am not super handy around the car just yet. Still learning

It super easy. You can snap the old one out and snap the new one in. There are YouTube videos on how to do it. Takes 30 sec each one

This appears to be the type of item you install as soon as you receive it

This is aftermarket, honestly imo way better aesthetics than OEM ones. It's super bright, crispy clear image (except the edges), easy installation and only $30 lol. Great quality
