Presumably those rear lights are just glued on temporarily whilst they decide what the real ones are actually going to look like?
And they haven't made the bonnet yet so they pinched one from one of those fugly Porsche monstrosities?

i hope the new CLuster ARchitecture (CLAR???) can bring more advanced chassis to X3. The F25 being as heavy and tall as it is, the strut front suspension just won't cut it anymore. Overall sound proofing could use some improvement too.
It is nice to see electric motor helping the turbo engine when it is off boost... |

Naaah.....it is to fool the public. Probably using a pre LCI body shell to hide the fact that they are testing the new technology running gear. Given that the 2017 car is going to be having a completely new platform, they are hardly going to give the opposition a preview of it on the open road.

"Underneath, the new X3 is earmarked to receive a revised high strength steel platform along with a modified double wishbone (front) and multi-link (rear) suspension." "ZF-produced nine-speed automatic" suspension change is nice. 9 speed auto?? hard to say, the current transmission already shifts more frequently that i like, especially in city traffic. Any shift make me loss power for half a second (and other cars get ahead!! ) |

Then perhaps you have a problem? If not, I suggest you shift to sport mode and you will get no perceived power loss. This will give you seamless up and down shifting whilst keeping up the momentum.

Often i do have to use sport mode, then it is beast mode. But it does make me wonder, if the fast shifts under sport mode is already this smooth, then why does comfort mode need to shift slower? maybe just to reduce wear and tear? Any way, sports mode is fun for a 5 or 10 minutes, but a bit too high-strung for me to use it on all my commute. |

I have tried other X3s and they work same as mine. But I will check for software update, some say the LCI update brought a new update. Not sure yet. Anyway, back to the topic new gen X3s. Maybe with the instant torque from electric motor, downshifts will be less needed. |

Was just about to post these but saw that you beat me to it!
I had thought I would order a F26 M40i ASAP.. but I may hold on to my F25 and wait for a full-blown M G01/G02 (maybe with a 6MT... yeah right) I really like the G01 design so far, a bit more aggressive stance from what I can tell. I wonder how much weight they will be able to shave off of the F25.
