Just noticed this post not sure if relevant but the Dec19 pricelist specifies the M sport as having the operating system 7 and live cockpit professional but the x line having operating system 6 and live cockpit plus. A number of the packages have also changed.
I picked up mine (M sport) 3 weeks ago and it came with the above

Other than this standard option in the xLine trim, I've all extra packages available but none mention the instrument cluster. I believe I have the highest levels of equipment in the xLine.

Yes, I came to that conclusion as well (highest levels for xLine).As far as I can tell, you will have ID6, as Live Cockpit Professional isn't available for xLine in your country. I came to this conclusion after reviewing options in the online configurator.

So, in the end, my salesman should be right. And he didn't told me if I've waited a couple of moths I could have an upgrade for the same price.

That's a very weird discrimination between the xline and Msport. Usually it's just differences in the outer trim, seats and suspension.

Sport or xline is virtually unheard of in the UK. 95% plus are M Sport / Msport X

Thinking of leasing an X3 Msport in the UK in April (unless a PCP deal can match it) alternatively a 330i/d if I can find a better deal.

I want the fully digital instrument cluster; after reading around on a few forums I'm a bit confused on whether for 2020 X3s it would be standard or not. There was some discussion whether here it would be an extra in the premium package but I think that was for the NA market?

The Dec 19 pricelist says in the msport highlights bit that although the 2020 X3 gets ID7, it's still only the semi-digital instrument cluster.









However the brochure goes on to say that a 10.25" digital display is included with live cockpit professional, both as standard with the msport variants.










Anyone know what the score is?

Do the UK dealers have pricing/ordering guides like the ones that the US dealers do? Like these:

They're very detailed. If they do, you should be able to tell what the vehicle is equipped with. Can't hurt to ask.

I'm sorry but I don't know about UK spec, but what you're looking for is Live Cockpit Professional. It will come with iDrive 7. However, the above brochure is certainly wrong about at least one thing . . . Live Cockpit Pro comes with a 12.3" Digital Instrument Display and a 10.25" Control Display with Touch Functionality. It's not the other way around. And I've never seen BMW use the term "Semi-Digital Cockpit" as shown on the posted pricelist.

hey. new here. lookin at 2020 x4. all the 2020s ive seen have the outgoing 355 hp engine in their description. do some 20s have older engine and some have the hew 382hp engine? is it a matter of waiting for new engine? if i buy a 2020 will it for sure have the new power? lookin to buy first bimmer ever in march but im confused. any help appreciated

All 2020 X3/4 M40i's have the 382hp engine. Not sure what you're looking at that makes you think there are 2020's with the old engine.

I can confirm that the 2020 M40i's for the European market now also get the 285kw or 388hp B58D engine.

Mine was ordered on the 7th of Dec and is being build this week. Delivery will be after a 6 week boat ride somewhere around April 10-15th

Just to be cleared; All 2020 M40 will have the ID7 and Live cockpit? I'm look into a Oct 2019 build base model X3 M40 but it is at the dealer's yard so I could check it directly.

No, not all.

Only if you select the Premium Package (+$2450) or Live Cockpit Pro (+$1100) as optional features.

Otherwise it will have Live Cockpit Plus with iDrive 6 and 8.8" Nav Center Display

I have a Uk 2020 model X3 M Sport which was built in September 2019
Mine has ID7 + all the other 'bits'
