It's a Sports Activity Vehicle but it's also a coupe but it has 4 doors but it's also a M Performance model so it's got a bunch of M badges but it's also not a real M car so they couldn't call it the X4///M but ///MX4 is kind of confusing so they stuck the ///M before the 40i because the engine is not 4L but actually 3L. I FAR prefer the X3. My GF likes the X4. We looked at them both in person and she fell IN LOVE with the X4 styling.... until I told her about the 8K premium just for the X4 styling... then the love affair ended and she agreed an X3 would be just fine. So that's two additional folks that agree with you..

Paying an additional 8K for LESS functionality and a slight styling change is a joke. Now that the chassis decision was made for us.. Have to sort out Carbon Black vs Black vs Phytonic Blue..

yep it's for real in the US market..

I will say I DO like this X4 better than the last X4... ( except the M performance hockey stick on the white one.. ) but not for 8K more than an X3.

it sure seems like an M sport package would be better than that M performance kit on the X3 M30

I agree with everybody having their own opinion on design and whatnot, but no need to put the design down in nasty words, just say it's not your kind of style and leave it like that. Don't like don't buy, I understand a lot of people like to stay in their comfort zone of classically shaped cars and SUV's, this shape is still new to a lot of us, wait and see how you'll warm up to it pretty fast, specially when you're too old to get in and out of regular cars and you're in the mood for coupes.
