Cleaned up and ready to roll

Did a bit of detailing yesterday. Looks even better in person While stopped at a light, caught the shot of the car in front's reflection in White Ice's hood.

So cool!

Quick question - Planning to make a similar trip in the next few weeks…how long does it actually take to get through the Dragon and the Skyway on the weekend? Was planning to start there and end up at Cades Cove, and Google maps is saying that will take like 3.5 hours to go 120 miles. Seems odd, or does traffic just move really slow?

If you plan to start at the Cherohala Skyway, drive through deals gap and reach Cades cove, it's approximately 3 hours for 100 miles as per google maps. But being a weekend and based on the weather, you might come across some motorcycle groups on the tail of the dragon. If you stop at some of the overlooks, then more or less it should take 3.5 hours to do this 100 miles. For us, doing it on a weekday with almost nil traffic and unmentionable speeds😁, we beat the google maps by almost 50% and spent time clicking pics and talking about the cars😀

In addition, I would suggest drive to the Foothills Parkway West overlook which is right after you descend the tail of the dragon. It has some freshly laid tarmac and zero traffic because of the road closure right after the overlook.

Hope you will have fun and drive safe👍
