You just described the problem upcoming with the X5MC. At 5400lbs it will not run with the X3MC even if BMW puts the true 617HP M5C engine in it. Toooo heavy.
Yeah right?! I guess maybe this is when bmw will stop detuning engines for the SUVs. But a proper tune will take the X5/6M to another level

odds are it'll be making in excess of that power at the wheels just like the M5, maybe a bit more.
