Built out a 2020 X3 M40i. The day of pickup, I decided...f*ck it, and picked up a loaded X3M. Black wasn't my first option, nor was white ivory interior, but I wanted all the options on it and Christmas was just around the corner

After powder coating these black and figured since everyone and their mother has a black car..I wanted to try something different and rip a page from Manhart :] So let the replication process begin!

Big shoutout to Alphawerks! (photoshoot was also thanks to him)

Alright time for some simple interior decorating..how about paint matched performance paddles?

Really really recommend the carbon fiber shifter as well. Mind the scratches as it was a pain in the ass to install

I really needed something with more noise, the moment Eisenmann released their exhaust.. I absolutely needed it!

Blacked out the emblems...but for some reason they look like buttons to me now..so either ill be changing them to offset with matte black or just go with the black edged ind ones

Cool beans, I always wanted to work with OSS or Oneighty on custom headlights. Went with Oneighty on this as their design seemed much more OEM.

Blacked out the housing and added demon eyes. They change colors and strobe and all that good stuff..but let's be honest...Red FTW

Big shoutout to Performance Technic for this install as well as the Eisenmann exhaust too and their high quality photos

Swapped out the idrive for chrome/ceramic pulled from 7ers.

Got the RKP Lip! Wrapped it! And the custom mudflaps..the oem ones never sat well with me, maybe they're too bulky or too matte

Below are pictures over the weekend. More will be coming along with rollers etc!

Was blessed to join the Norcal Meet and great to see other f97s rep!

There were plenty of people talking about wanting to make a switch over. Can't blame them right?

Enjoyed reading your timeline and seeing the great images!

Curious if your side 'vent' badges still have chrome lettering? If so, have you considered blacking those out (sorry, obligatory comment on how they should've come blacked-out OEM )?

Nice job, and thanks for sharing!

Hey Max! Thanks a lot for reading :]

Yahh they do still have chrome lettering :[

I actually would very much be interested in doing black chrome! I feel like this still allows it to shine and of course showcase the badge itself.

The only caveat is I don't see myself wanting to get a new set of vents just for that :/

Thanks for the advice though!

Man, I had a build thread and then abandoned it. I'll make a final thread with the finished build and then a second thread to discuss the performance.

Yahh honestly I'm not a fan of how the image/attachments are handled on this platform. But looking forward to it!

Mike, I already have a different one. It doesn't have the heating function though (not that I need it here in FL).
