Haha.

You can't compare baseline from different dyno.

MAHA dyno baseline will be different than Mustang or DynoJet or DynoPack.

Supposedly DynoJet is the best dyno for the consumer, because it gives you a higher number reading. Lol.

But, Comp and Non-Comp, usually has the same boost peak number. That's what I've learn from M5 and M5 Comp.
So supposedly, for us who has Comp, after the tune, it didn't get much more than non Comp.

The dyno chart (5:20 mark in video) confirms the consensus driving experience -- not much happens until 3,000 rpms and then the booster rocket engages.

It's the same engine just power capped early on the base model. The same tune should fit both models and provide same peak numbers but of course slightly more gains in the base model. The difference between the two factory tunes is surely not much in the real world.

So if they are getting 100 hp/cylinder in a 80k boosted 6 banger I should expect the X5 M is 800 HP for 110k?

533 AWHP is just insane! Just 10 years ago a 5.0 V10 wasn't even getting close to this. Hard to argue these numbers. Interestingly, the m3/4 probably won't make this stock. But it's clear that a stage 1 tune will make it an absolute monster.

One thing I have to say about the new M3/M4 is it's going to sound really good. The last generation didn't do it for me and as well many others. Although a lot of people liked the farting sound it makes. And with this race chip it's really going to make it quick.

So basically the front will look really ugly when it's rushing to you, but when it passes it will be fast and it will sound amazing.

Still won't convince me to get one because that front is just too ugly to seriously consider buying this car.

Does RaceChip actually improve MPG (while driving economically) up to 20%+? Added power and thrill aside, that significant of an improvement in MPG would make getting RaceChip a must.

It is a slippery slope.
In order for you to notice the MPG gain, you will have (which is very hard) to drive in the same behavior as you normally would.

It is hard to resist to drive like a grandma (at least my grandma, lol) with that much power on your foot.

In this case of X3M S58, 20% would be about 3MPG based on average of 16MPG.

I'm in the camp that thinks the sound is a bit boring. I love the pops in Sport+ mode on my F80. The S58 sounds more or less like the B58 in this video. Nothing special.

Given what's happening in Europe and apparently bleeding over to the States, I don't either car nor any other will sound good. 😢

There's always after market if you're willing to pay for it. Certain states like California makes it harder on certain after market exhausts as they have emission testing every two years though.

Nothing is hard in Cali other than the traffic itself.

Why do you think everything is expensive here.
We are forced to trickle down the cost to cover up our expenses, lol.

Sorry for the stupid question....but why the assumption that the new M3/4 won't make these numbers? I thought that the M3/4 version might even be a little hotter than the SUV version personally. In previous M5 #s....has the M5 had a detune version of the X5/6M?

This truck even untuned is underrated and an absolute leap frog ready to jump w awd.
I can't imagine it modded. 🙀

Drove one near HQ in Jerz not long ago.
Well packaged sniper sized as a 4

In a word - epic

Well I have no info backing my assuming and yes the X5M s63 is detuned from the M5 I believe but I assume this because an M3 with 533WHP would probably be faster than the M5 which I doubt bmw would do from the factory. I mean imagine 533WHP in a 3700lb sedan vs the m5s 4300+ weight. I think the M3 would take it in a straight line if that was its power. Time will tell though. Again, just an assumption.

You just described the problem upcoming with the X5MC. At 5400lbs it will not run with the X3MC even if BMW puts the true 617HP M5C engine in it. Toooo heavy.
