Stoopid question
I use an android device usually through a browser to access this forum. Not happy with the lack of attachments menu when posting or replying, I recently clicked the button "desktop version" on the page. I've been all over my profile since then, but I'll be damned if I can see how to revert back to mobile. I even searched the V bulletin help files to find an answer, but alas, nothing....... Anyone here smarter than me to restore mobile browsing to my android device? Thanks in advance, and I owe you a beer.

Not a dumb question. To quickly restore just delete your cookies from settings/ privacy within your browser. Chrome allows you to delete based on time so you don't delete all your cookies.

Thank you for your reply. I closed the xbimmmers page and cleared the cookies in my chrome browser for the last hour. Xbimmmers was on the list of about 5 sites it said it was going to delete cookies. I then shut down the browser, then restarted Chrome, and navigated to the xbimmmers site again. It's still on desktop mode, and no, I don't have that option selected in the browser settings. Any more ideas?

on the right side of page there should be 3 dots. click on that.
scroll down to "desktop site" make sure its not selected. Uncheck will bring you back to mobile version. |

The three dots on the chrome browser is the menu from which I said I had not selected desktop site. That is unchecked and has been since I've been trying to revert to mobile version. It would have been too easy if that would have solved.

I appreciate your assistance but don't see an option to delete all cookies form any one site. I mean, I tell chrom to delete all cookies from the last hour which I just increased to 24 hours and it produces a list which says it will delete all cookies including the 5 sites listed which xbimmmers is on that list. I tap the clear button. Close and reopen the browser returning to the xbimmmers site, but it's still desktop. What gives?

Not to mention, now that I think about it that cookie clear in the last 24 hours is not working. I know this because after I clear them and shut the browser back then return to the forum, I'm already logged in. If cookies were gone that wouldn't be possible. Dammit Chrome, kill the f$&=#ing cookie like I told you to.

So I work in IT. It shouldn't require such drastic measures to restore a mobile version of a site, but your advice was the only thing that worked for me. Delete and reinstall (which you can't totally do as Chrome is pre-loaded on Samsung phones) But it did a roll back and I force stopped it and disabled it, reboot, then re-enable, and returned to the site with a mobile version presented to me and a login prompt. I'm sure my problem was due to a true lack of cookie deletion. I don't understand why that didn't work, but this drastic measure did. Thanks for your advice. I should have thought of it myself as it often solves the unexplainable problems in IT. When it doesn't make sense either reboot or reinstall.......
