The yellow look is so damn clean, but all these failures I'm reading about are giving me pause. I've spent entirely too much time over the years fooling with shoddy, aftermarket bulbs that never seem to last/perform right.

V1 Replacement: 4/27/23
V1 (replacement) Driver-Side Outer DRL Failure: 6/9/23

V2 (updated with full metal back) Driver-Side Outer DRL Replacement: 6/10/23

I'm assuming the passenger side will go out any day now, so I'll try to get the V2s on sometime this week.

Fingers crossed these hold up for more than a month.

are there any other confirmed users with the updated V2 metal-backed replacement boards? I believe Rhdlife , MisPWR , and 5LEEPR_G01 are among the few.

I know I can’t hang with the big boys cause I’m a b58 but these are IND f97 boards and no issues so far.

Just curious - since everything else works perfectly except for the right turn signal. If I were to get an OBD2 scanner tool and clear the error codes , would that maybe fix the issue?

The first time I encountered this issue was on June 16th. I just left the car overnight and fault codes and everything went away by itself and everything worked perfectly up until a few days ago.

if I were to do this would I mess anything up?

most of the problems have been with the LCI models, not the pre-LCI (which I haven't really seen any failures).

No. The Amber LED is burnt out. clearing a code won't fix a hardware issue.

Your only solution is to replace the board.

I did end up installing the outer DRLs and ending up pulling the whole headlight which was easier for me. I installed the updated boards with full metal back and thermal glue, So far so good
