Shifts Feel Clunky

Hey all, this is my first time posting on this forum and just wanted some feedback on what could be happening.

Car stats:
Year: 2019
Model: X3 M40i
Miles: 61000
Tune: BM3 Stage 2 catless downpipe @40,000 miles

I’ve serviced the vehicle myself by doing oil changes every 3k miles. When I did the tune I also swapped out the spark plugs (properly tapped them) and coil packs.

I have never felt this issue before until after replacing my tires recently but I feel like the new tires have nothing to do with this. Anytime I drive off from first or second gear it literally feels like gears are slipping, that’s the only way I can explain it. I have zero dashboard lights or errors on the computer but I’m trying to figure this thing out before something awful happens. Should I be worried or is this something I should just push under the rug?

Please lmk if you need more information!

You may have changed engine oil every 3k, but did you change trans, diff gear and transfer case oils?

BMW say transmission oil is lifetime, its not, ZF recommends every 50-60k miles.

No I haven’t changed those oils ever. How often should I be replacing those fluids and can that be done by me? I was told bmw uses a special machine to change it

You can perform this yourself, with basic tools with the addition of an app to see what trans temp are so you can make sure refill is at proper level. You can search here on the forum and Youtube but here is a head start to provide some info https://www.fcpeuro.com/blog/how-to-...d-transmission.

I'm not saying 100% this the cause, but these things will help you keep the powertrain in top shape while beating on it. There are also other things that may help like a trans tune from Xhp or resetting your trans adaptation values, but with fresh fluid will be a good start since your at that mileage.
