Thanks man! I'm speaking with Momir who is Head of Support for them. He asked me to take screenshots of DME codes, SW versions, etc. I sent them over today. I'll follow up here when I learn more.

Just to check, I flashed back to Map0/Stock. No problems with the flash, but the oil interval error is still there.

Like I said before, the same thing happened to me when I first flashed BM3. Only way to fix was to have them remote in and do their thing. They knew exactly how to fix in a few minutes and MHD support should be able to do the same.

I would not even think of bringing this to the attn of the dealer since you caused it yourself by flashing. If anything goes wrong later you will be blamed and could have warranty issues.

A) MHD is a smartphone app. There is no ability to remote in unless I plug in a laptop with an E-net to OBD cable. I would love it if MHD suggests that because I do have that hardware and E-sys. But we'll see what happens.

B) I've been using the same Service Advisor at BMW for more than 10 years. I'm not too worried about my warranty, especially given there's a TIB out for an identical problem on the G01's already. They'll just assume this is that issue, do their programming to fix it and be done. With that said, I am of course not going to volunteer the information that I am running a flash tune.

They asked that I send them my "YOURVIN_coding.xml" file from the MHD root directory on the phone. They edited it to fix the issue and sent it back to me.

When I get a chance I'll overwrite my current file with the new one and re-flash. Will update later...

[EDIT] Attempted... No-go

I picked up mine on ebay, are you sure you entered into diagnostic mode by pressing the start button quickly 3 times?

I had the same issue as papajohn which has now been resolved without having to take it into a dealer! papajohn and MHD Tuning resolved the issue with Martial paying for a coding session, and John donating his time in getting the coding done.

The new v3 maps also seem to be more responsive (not that it wasn't previously), but can definitely notice some improvements in the updated version!

Also loving playing around with the burble settings, and I hear the MHD wifi adaptor is going to be ready very soon!

BTW, I don't believe MHD has an Xhp option to flash the M40i auto trans. Is this a new development?

They've had it for quite some time, since I've had my N54 which would be at least 3 years.

I don't think there's an XHP tune for our cars just yet though.

Any idea how much you can increase the burbles with all stock equipment without risking and increase strain or damage? I'd love to add more to it but don't have much interest in pursuing any mods like intake or downpipe at this current time.

no personal experience, but I can't imagine it would be too healthy for the cat, as the increased burbles would be more a result of more fuel burn.

X's 2.

Is a DP necessary for a Stage 2 tune? Or is it just recommended to get the full HP gain potential? Can anyone comment if its required or just a recommendation kind of thing?

I wouldn't go stage 2 without an upgraded hiflow cat at a minimum.

flow restrictions/back pressure issues from the stock cat.

Other users and testers have said that using a stock DP with a stage 2 tune is completely fine due to the large size of the OEM DP on the 2020 M40i.
Of course going aftermarket will benefit more in every way with a stage 2. So asking 5 people will most likely get 5 different answers.

Personally I want to go stage 2, but I dont want to increase the sound of the exhaust by changing the DP out even to a catted one, so Im sticking with stage 1. But thats just me. YMMV

Hello,
I bought the K + Dcan cable and I can't seem to connect either. I put it in diagnostic mode and when I click on the app it says "no cable or MHD wifi adapter detected". I already tried two different K + Dcan cables. Does anyone have any recommendations?

If youre trying to get MHD tune on a 2020. You wont be able to do that from the app itself. Its not available yet.

Thanks! I have a 2019. The app has it listed as a compatible car.
