X3 LCI opinion after one month of ownership
X3 2022 xDrive30i with M Sport pack.
It has been a very exciting experience with X3. Love the minimalistic yet elegant interior, quick accessibility to various options present in the car and the ease of handling. Here is a list of what I like the most in X3: - Carbon Black metallic color - Rhombicle trim - 20" Jet Black 699M wheels - M Sport bumper and grill - Head lights in shadow line, Tail lights, Carpet lights - Sports steering wheel - Sporty ride. Cruising is also fun. Tempting to rev up in highways and smooth roads - Steering and handling particularly in curves. Maneuvering is almost effortless - Mileage - Cabin tech and UX - User profiles - Favorite buttons (CarPlay, Sync, Ambient Lighting, Trip data, Cancel route, Weather, News, FM) - Intelligent Personal Assistant - voice control - Speed limit, widgets, map view in instrument cluster - Valet parking mode - Reverse cameras, 3D view, panorama view with activation points - Pre-cooling, MAX AC, disable rear AC controller - Driving style analysis, Coasting, Trip data - NAV, RTTI - My BMW app - Contactless locking and unlocking What I don’t like: - Sporty suspension is not suitable for all road conditions. It’s very stiff and cause discomfort when driving over uneven roads, bumps, rumble strips. Somewhat manageable in Eco Pro with manual speed limiter, but that takes away all the fun and dynamics. I have to visit the dealer to check if anything can be done to reduce the harshness. Wish I had adaptive suspension as an option! - Sliding noise from side view mirrors - CarPlay is unstable Somethings I can grow accustomed to: - Jerks when braking. Usually when auto stop/start and auto hold is on - Unable to control auto start/stop and auto hold using voice commands - Auto air recirculation is clueless at times - Air ambient package is working or not - Slippery mat or my butter feet - Key fob feels cheap |
