ix3 wheels thread!

Hey guys,

Received my car 6 weeks ago and enjoying it very much! Even though the wheels really don't appeal to me so I am very curious how other wheels look under it! I think I'm not the only one?

My thought was, can we get a thread started showing off your new wheels and fitment?

If you post please add fitment of your setup! (inches, ET, J, Tyre size)

I got my car earlier this year but just couldn't get on with the wheels. I had a look online and ended up getting some 787M wheels off eBay and feel they finish the car off a lot better than the original wheels.

701m wheels for me, wanted to go up to 21 inch as well as change them.

Normally off an X4 these ones I think, but IMO suit the X3 beautifully.

They fit perfectly! Do you lose a lot of comfort with them 21 ones?

Runcraps so they will be a harder ride almost certainly, also not sure with the weight of the car if the tyres are suitable. Nice wheels though

Hey guys, former F31 owner and currently 5 weeks in on the waiting train with a Carbon Black G08 due at end of year.

So, ditching the OEM 20" it comes with and bout to order a squared summer setup at 9x20 ET27 which I want to run 255/45s on. Want the wheels more flush with the fenders and the taller profile for more cushion and as a gap filler 😉

Thoughts and feedback, is the ET too aggressive in the rear? Will 255 be too narrow to get the power down since its electric and heavy. Looking at Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5

Anyone know what "normal" wheels do to the range compared to the standard aerodynamic ones?

BMW has this to say about the aero wheels:
Quote:
The top model of aerodynamic wheels gives the BMW iX3 a range-extension of up to ten kilometers.
Source: https://www.bmw.com/en/design/aerody...meets-art.html

So up to ten kilometers is what you're looking to loose with a switch to regular wheels.

It's also worth noting that the top model with 20" wheels is rated for 5 km less WLTP range compared to the model with 19" wheels.

A jump to 21" will come with a further decrease in range.

I know you can remove some of the extraneous plastic on the aero wheels. Has any done same on the 890Ms and got pictures of what they look like?

I had my wheel trim plastic part stolen front left the other day or it came off which I doubt, any idea where I can get a replacement, had a quick look on BMW uk site, but didn’t see what I need.

Thanks
