I think the sales rep meant a few posts up about curved screen the dash is curved screen like it is in 2022.

The nav section screen is the same as on 2022 thats flat screen.

All car salesmen are definitely not created equally. The enthusiast customer likely knows more than a good portion of them about the cars. The average customer certainly doesn't, but those of us that spend too much time on car forums likely do as we perseverate over every bit of minutia about the cars that we are looking for especially since we have nothing else to do while we are waiting for them to show up. "Oh look, he has a 23 model because he has black valve stem caps instead of the silver ones that were on the 22s and the kidney grilles have 25 slats per grille instead of the old 24“.

For the F12 trick, does anyone know how to set the screen to capture that data? I've found about everything except that string. Been educational so far though. And somewhat scary in that it's a reminder of how much code is involved in internet exchanges.

Now here's what I've done which could be a trigger to those worried about options, I'm going with the idea that BMW isn't shipping cars without standard features or at least will have some plan to address later (mostly meaning car play). And if anyone asks yes I know this is overkill and I'm being super anal. But hey you have to do something while waiting for the status to change right?

In one of the line items there is a super long line of code that has things like build status (mine is still in 111) and then through this line of code is a list of all the options and the option numbers.

I was able to copy this entire line and paste it in Excel, then I copied just the options and used the paste special transpose function in excel to get everything in a column. From here I was able to remove the leading zero on a few items (0ZDY for example) and then I can use these to check what's included by referencing the pricing guide and some google searching on some unknown packages. I was able to convert the pricing guide from PDF to Excel, clean up a little formatting, and then use Xlookup to get the product names to check and then look up some that didn't return results.

The only two items I noted as missing was ZAX Apple CarPlay and 316 Power Tailgate. Again, I am going to go with the assumption that BMW is not going to include these on a $60K+ vehicle. It could also be that these could be included in additional packages or since my status is still order received it might not be fully updated.

Seriously... We don't know what will be deleted until it goes into production. Right now I have trunk kick opener deleted and the digital key. I'm fine with both being removed. Especially, since there some reports of the tailgate opening on its own in the closed garage.

There's no way BMW will omit Apple Carplay, everyone relax . ZAX is also omitted on my 2022 build, but it shows in the standard features.

Do you see 6CP if not ZAX? Carplay comes under two different option codes:

6CP Apple CarPlay Compatibility
ZAX Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Compatibility

I see 6CP on my friend's 2022 build, so maybe ZAX is new to 2023

Oh yea I got 6CP. Anyone know the code for driver bolster width adjustment? I specced cognac vernasca on my 2022 so I should have driver bolster width adjustment right? It shows passenger width adjustment delete on my VIR.

Needless to say, I'll be really, really unhappy if CarPlay and Android Auto are gone. Wi-Fi is nice but not something I'd use often nor would I subscribe to.

I'm going to ping my CA tomorrow and see if she can get clarity.

Normally I wouldn't worry too much about this but after chasing my wife's Q5 for a month I saw Audi inconsistently de-content a lot of features from relatively high-end builds.

Let us know what you find out. I thought it was listed on my VIR, but now I see it's not there. It's not as much of a deal breaker as no cameras would be, but it's certainly a close second.
