Having read your post on page 17 I have been following DL due in Suez tomorrow evening. I still can't figure out how this ties in with week 38 though?

My dealer reckons it's coming direct to Southampton and then after clearing customs straight up to them in Lincolnshire. So September the 2nd would make it early!

The infor that you get from the genius is sketchy at best. I only deduced it's on dorado leader as I was messaging the genius each day for a status and it changed from 165 to 195 the day after dorado left dalian port, and had been sitting there at the port for a while but wasn't loaded onto grand Orion earlier in July.

The genius and bmw tend to add a couple of weeks to allow for clearance through customs and potential trip to Thorne (bmw main centre) before onto dealer. Hopefully we are surprised and it is a swift route to dealer following arrival. Also until late last week the dorado leader was scheduled to arrive in Southampton 7th sept however this has been moved forward to the 2nd following an earlier port call cancellation.

I still can't believe the cars were built end of May and didn't get put on a ship until 22nd July!

Mine was built the 29th of June and wasn´t on a ship untill 2nd of August...

Is anybody using shipinfo.net? I have been using it for the last couple of weeks to track DL but it went off the air last night.

I am pretty confident, although that mightn't mean much.

I have had an unsolicited update and my stock date is now 14th sept (wk 37) so that falls inline with the ship arriving 5 days earlier than originally planned.

PS how slow do ships go when you check em every 4 hours 😂

Anyone Tracking Grand Vega, i cant find a later update than 2 days ago. Just above Taiwan too. I hope all is well given current climate

Dorado leader went offline for 3 days there, then again between Singapore and India, and again on way to suez for 3/4 days.

The marine traffic app allows you to pay 89p for satellite tracking for 24 hours (I gave in once and did it 😂😂 the shame) and that gives you a live position wherever it is.

Looks like DL is in the Great Bitter Lake this morning.
The next destination appears to be Derince in Turkey, way up the Agean near Istanbul. So it looks like my dealers information of it coming direct to Southampton is wide of the mark. That is if our car is on this ship!

This is going to be my first and last car built in China!
It's now over ten weeks since it was built and it's going to be another month before it arrives here! Ridiculous! Germany is as far as we will go in future for car deliveries!

It will stop at Greece, Bristol and Germany also before Southampton. It's on schedule tho so that's a positive. It's been a long wait for me (original ix3 order was April 2021! Had to cancel due to a recall fault on the batter and re order nov 22) so this last few weeks is nothing 😂

I feel your pain!
I was hoping to give the car a good run in warmer weather to check out battery performance before winter comes. However we are away for three weeks end of September so as the car arrives we'll be going away!
BMW customer service tell me ours is due 19th September, week 38 so that ties in with your dates, 5 days early.

Meanwhile Grand Orion making steady progess up the Portugese coast, due into Zeebrugge in a couple of days and then Bremmerhaven, looking good for being on-time to Southampton on 24th August.

Still hoping for delivery first week in September, although Genius are saying 5-11th - I'm getting very impatient!!

The funniest part for me is that there is no way to be certain my car is on Grand Vega, just an assumption based on timing of code changes from BMW Genius lol

Yes, I think it's bad form on BMWs part keeping us in the dark as if it's all some big secret! They know which ship your car went on and when it went on it!
It's bad enough having to wait three and a half months for your car to be delivered after it's been built!
I have friends who have ordered Teslas, Hyundias and Kias and have been told which ship their cars were on without all this secrecy!
