Excellent data, forza1976 , and once again textbook method for sharing your data. All that is needed to figure out the specifics of your runs - you provided without needing any questions asked. With your full slips (including track name, date, and times), I could easily look up the past weather [ timeanddate.com/weather/usa/lakewood/historic ] and calculate more refined DAs [ dragtimes.com/da-density-altitude-calculator.php ].

Here is your updated track logbook. Your last run appears to be your best yet from a total run performance standpoint, at least based on interval times and trap speed, although you have a faster ET at Pueblo given the faster 0-60ft interval. The dragtimes site offers a conversion ET/speed based on a DA algorithm, and when I entered your final run's numbers, it calculated 11.574s @ 122.14mph!

As most of your parameters were similar except for your Octane, it seems to suggest our S58 appreciates that improved number. Would still be interested to see what results you'd get if you drop your rear tire psi down to around 32 but still use the higher octane. Those are the things I want to try when I get a chance to head back to the Strip (lower rear tire psi and higher octane).

Thanks again for sharing, and especially for the accurate info you provided along with your full slips!

Edit 1055AM - please discard the original image (Image3) in case some of you downloaded it, as it had incorrect weather data. I mistakenly used Pueblo as the weather source instead of Lakewood CO. Only changed the DA by about 400-500 for each datapoint, but this should be more accurate and is now in line with what forza1976 broadly indicated. The new image is 'Image4 - corrected weather'.

Awesome stuff Max, sorry about not including the DA calcs and weather, I'll include that next go around. Really appreciate this all in one place. I will make the pressure adjustments for next Wednesday, it's our last test and tune for the year so will head out to get some last runs in for the year at Bandimere. The last run it was really cool temperature wise, and the pressure adjustment may help being I actually had some slip hitting 2nd and 3rd gear. You could hear the tires squeak and that's pretty sweet from a 4500# SUV.

And I must also share apologies for an error in my previous post, which I ran for Pueblo weather, not Lakewood CO. I updated the image with the corrected DA data now, and labelled the image as 'Image4 - corrected weather'.

After reviewing the graph and spreadsheet of 'Tire Pressure vs Contact Patch area' [ https://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showp...&postcount=136 ], I'm planning on trying 32F/32R, and then dropping the rear even further to 29R. Looking at that spreadsheet, the front tire patch at OEM rec of 33psi is roughly 48.4 sq in., so to have similar patch size in back we'd need to be around 29psi or thereabouts.

Granted the patch size increases under dynamic loading with force deformations, but just wondering if we might get a more balanced use of the xDrive on all four tires if their static patch areas are close to similar? Have no idea, but it'll be interesting to see if that pans out.

If you're going to rate the X3Ms at whp you should probably rate the trackhawk at whp, which is definitely under 600

Thanks for your input, KellenBrogan . That rating and chart system was a point-in-time project and I've not pursued it in a forward fashion, as it would take frequent cross-checking with new models continuously being released which I haven't wished to pursue because of time constraints. Appreciate your interest.

Thanks, Daniely30 . Before I can post your spreadsheet, need your estimated tire psi and tank volume. You hadn't mentioned a tune with your previous 11.47s result, so it was conceivable just downpipes would cut 0.2s from stock, but you later shared a link to a BM3 93 Octane log from January, so were both of your runs using the same BM3 setting (ie 93 Octane)? Trying to figure out the 0.4 sec improvement this time around (seems too much just for the 1000’ DA difference)?

We have a private track day Sunday the 18th @Bandimere. Will be in the 50's and 60's so DA should be much better. Will also report back to the group.

Solid runs tonight. Best run was 11.618. I was really hoping to get in the 11.5s, but very happy with my times. I'm car 783. Max, I think you have all my info, but let me know if you need anything! Fuel was 8 gallons 93 and 2 gallons E85. Car felt strong! Tire psi was 33 all around.

Thanks, robopp – but without the full image of your slip (can’t read the time as your finger is covering it) I’m unable to calculate one of the most important variables – the DA. And the full slip showing Track name and location like forza1976 shared is the ideal when submitting slips, as some Members may download images of the individual slips as well, so it makes it nearly impossible to figure out where a run was done historically if the full slip including track name and details isn't in the image. [I had PM'd you a few hours ago so you'll see this request in your inbox as well]

No worries

A new SC Leader is crowned - robopp )

Here is his updated personal logbook, the SC Leader Board, and the overall Leader Board. Thanks again for sharing your data, robopp

Still need some baseline non-Comp entries to start filling the SNC category, and also the St2M+ Members to contribute (if their components will hold together under the power they're generating)
