Took delivery with stickers on the car, drove it the 3 miles home and had my friend who is in the PPF business do the entire front end and I followed with a IGL Kenzo ceramic coating.

Agreed. Although the gloss black areas held up well in my M4 I don't know why they didn't make that area CF like it is on other cars that have the CF trim. Same with the steering wheel.

Have some PPF that I will use to wrap this piece also and then throw a light ceramic coating on top.
With some luck this will round out the interior.

I would have paid the extra 6-700 from factory as it was available in Pre-LCI models, the black is terrible and the cheapest part of the interior IMO.

Wrapping it with xpel, got a X3M comp plate for the top, its all black lettering and will be removing the Comp line so it'll Just say X3 M

keeps the oem one intact as well.

I received mine from this eBay vendor yesterday. They fit perfectly over the vents. I enlarged some of the holes a bit along the second & third rows to reduce the air flow restriction. I ordered mine on 8/9, received them on 8/19. I use to think about coins and other small objects disappearing into those vents under my E46 seats. I wish I had known they sold these.

I ordered those from ali two weeks ago…didn’t even realize it was a thing until my friend dropped an OPEN tube of chapstick down the side of the seat…and it managed to roll right into that vent. Ordered a snake cam on Amazon and used some wire to fish it out…took me like 4 hours on and off to finally get it out. So dumb.

exactly, if nothing else to prevent a situation like that and spruce up hopefully a part nobody ever sees

I'd pay for that too. I'd even take a matte black version. Glossy looks good in pictures and the first week of ownership. I've resorted to keeping a microfiber cloth in the console for almost daily cleanings.

It's my wife's car and it's too small...I can appreciate people with family's occupying every inch of this cabin with baby seats and strollers and accessories but this is just not for us....x5 is much more suited for us and that's what I swapped into, an 23' x5 m50i with no miles on it.
