2016 X3 35i 63000km

I have a whining noise at 80kph on a smooth road and a noise like something is stuck to a tire, on a rough road its hard to hear, don't know if its the tires or what. have P Zero Pirrelli and they are noisey. Any ideas the Dealer charges a fortune to do diagnostics. John.

- visually inspect the tires, DIY

- let a friend with some knowledge of cars test drive your car

- get a referral to an independent euro car shop, generally a bit less costly than BMW Dealer

It could be the wheel bearings. Mine did a noise similar to yours and it turned out to be the rear left wheel bearing. The replacement was very easy...
