I am curious how long install time is for the H&R springs? I was quoted 7.6 hours at a local performance shop and want to ensure this is reasonable.

I think thats totally absurd. 7.6 hours for spring install? With all due respect to the shop, no way. Maybe the MSS, but not the springs..and i assume that does not include alignment? Which you'd probably get in a week or two after driving the car for a bit. I think mine was done in like 3 hours or less.

First timer, it will take 5-6 hours if they are an experienced and knowledgeable mechanic.
Took me less since I have done many of them.

You have to remember that the rears are fairly easy to install, but the front springs are not. So simply keep this in mind.

Thanks for the quick response everyone. 7.6 was much lower than the 10.5 hr job my BMW dealer quoted me.

I'll provide feedback once the H&R springs are installed on my LCI comp.

How much are you guys paying to get the springs installed with alignment. Ive been quoted $1200-1500 by a few shops. My gut is telling me thats way off the mark. So curious to see what others have paid.

That's the install quotes I'm getting also everywhere in CT. 1K+ to install 1K suspension.
That's what pretty much holding me back from buying the MSS kit is it will be well over 2K after it all.

I'm must be a lucky one because I paid $400 for my coilover install and alignment. My dad paid the same for his MSS install.

Quoted for 4 hours and this was a pretty high end shop that is always working on BMW's and supercars.

A&L Auto Body in Palatine. I've brought them all of my cars and they tackle just about anything. No internal engine work but basic bolt on, body repair and suspension they knock it out of the park. Awesome guys.

These are 12mm all around, if I did it again would go 15mm in the rear.

Is it still possible have EDC fromt the center console after installing MSS or H&R? Kinda think the stock ride is too harsh but don't want to lose the EDC function.
