Ammodernata al punto Giusto

Appena arrivata "in famiglia" una nuova X3 2022.
La parte infotainment č cambiata molto - in meglio
La carrozzeria, dipende dai gusti, ma pių incisiva

Just arrived "in the family" a new X3 2022.
The infotainment part has changed a lot - for the better
The bodywork, depends on taste, but more incisive

Allocation spot received

This is my first post, so apologies if below news has already been shared. Got a ping from my salesperson today informing me that I have an allocation slot to build my 2023 x3 M40i - date is supposed to be first or second week of August.

The news I'm sharing if not already known is that the BMWUSA Configurator is up and running for the 2023 x3 M40i. I used it to cross-check the build sheet my dealer sent me to proof.

Thanks~

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the allocation! I also have a Week 32 build date. Unfortunately the BMW build site is still incorrect as it doesn't show Parking Assist package that was deleted for a day but is now back.

Gotta be honest, not just because I don't have the latest model, but I do not like the facelift.
The rear lights looks tacky, it was sure pure and genuine before, now it looks too cluttered.
And as well, I do like the exhaust, but for an M, for a non M I think it is kind of posers.
Your thoughts?

I like the updates, but I do think there is a little too much M on a non-M car. The lines are becoming very blurred for styling.

I agree the line is blurry, so that's why you get the brightest M exclusive color

But seriously, there's barely any distinction between all the different Porsche trims and the price difference for some is over $100k, so we can't really complain too much.

I'm the opposite, speaking for the M40i the pre-LCI looks were too pedestrian with little to distinguish it from the 30i. I like that the LCI moved it further from the 30i and closer to the M. Relative to the F25, the base model gained 8hp whereas the M40i gained 82hp over the 35i and a price increase to match. The market created the demand for M performance, AMG sport, etc and they might as well make it more special than just the base model with a bigger engine.

On the exhaust, I don't think the pre-LCI had the looks to match the sound. On the LCI, I wish they hadn't toned it down so much.

I guess I'm slightly torn between the idea that I love the aggressive M looks in general on a car so I'm happy to have the double grille and M mirrors, etc on my M40, but also think that they should reserve those things for real M's. I've seen them with those dinky M badges on the side and think those look like total M poser badges. I'm glad there is the option to delete them.

Ditto on the grille and mirrors. Really like the look and appreciate that the LCI M40i gets to take advantage of those styling touches from the M.

Agree on the 19 M badges sprinkled throughout. It's far too much and I always feel the need to explain M performance to people that think I drive an M car.

But if it didn't have the aggressive looks (mirrors and all), it just wouldn't feel different enough to justify the $90k CAD price tag and I'd probably find myself in a GLC43 instead.

When I go into the dealer to sign paperwork, I plan to take my USAA rate and see if I can haggle with the finance mgr. If he/she wants their commission, they'll have to give me $2k off & match my interest rate with no add-ons.
Follow up on this previous post as I went into my dealership today to finish paperwork....finance mgr never bothered to try and get me to finance with BMWFS or any other bank. I asked him after we were done I surprised he didn't try to get me to finance thru him. He said he didn't want to waste my time and he likely wasn't going to be able to beat my USAA rate anyway. He also wasn't all pushy on all the extended warranty/service options either. Had them remove the NO2 charge. Ended up with MSRP plus a $100 doc fee.

You're lucky. In my experience the finance/warranty people are much more pushy and aggressive than even the salespeople.

That has always been my experience as well on nearly all previous vehicle purchases...at least since late 2000's. I don't actually recall in earlier years manufacturers & dealers doing extended service plans back then.

That is where the highest profit margin reside.

I remember buying an Honda Civic for the better half and they wanted me to initialed all the squares of the stuff I did not want i.e. extended warrantee, rust protection and the likes.

I told him that I had 2 signature left, one for the final contract and one for the Fuchen check . The deal was done in less then 2 minutes.

The sales people want to build a relationship with you for repeat business. The finance guy could care less and probably won't still be there when you get your next car. I've never seen the same person twice in 15y, but my CA has been there the whole time.

I chose Individual Leather Merino Tartufo. In my opinion this suits really well in combination with the exterieur.
