Anyone get that other S58 car yet?
I'm like 99% sure I will be buying an xDrive G8X late 2021 or early 2022 but I'm curious if anyone has added a new M3 or M4 to their fleet yet. If you have, how does it feel compared to X3M aside from an obvious center of gravity difference? I will be trading wife's M340ix for the new M and keeping X3M.

Whatever you do... make sure to keep the X3 M.

I drove a G80 base and absolutely loved it. I'm in the process of building a house and once it's complete I'm planning on picking one up. Still not sure if I'm going to keep the X3MC.
Tech is better, carbon bucket seats are incredible and manual. I have zero interest in the Comp model. |

I bought the X3M so that I could bypass the new M3/4. I could not live with that hideous grill on a day to day basis.

I wanted to wait for the M3 X-drive as well. But confident the LCI won't do much to remedy that audacious front grill. For me I believe I want to park a G87 M2 LCI or Comp next to my X3 M Comp.

Would anyone change their mind if they could get an aftermarket kit to resolve?
I would love an M4 but financially that would not be a good move. Perhaps one day...once the grill has a fix https://www.wapcar.my/news/a-german-...al-grille-7058 |

I don't love the grill but I am very much ok with it. I've seen M3 and M4 in person several times now and the grill is not an issue IMO while the rest of the car is amazing. I think the aftermarket renders floating around look bad in comparison.

I plan on moving on from the X3MC to an G80 AWD LCI in about 3 years. I don't mind the front end at all and think it's quite a looker actually.

I drove my friends M3 manual and it is awesome. The handling is differentbut in a good way. Way tighter, less body roll as you would expect. The manual really lets the S58 shine. I still love my X3MC it serves more purposes for me..
The Grille is a non issue. It looks way better in person. This car is not photogenic. Everyone needs to calm down lol. |

There is one driving around here in the yellow/mustard colour.....it looks really good in real life. Proper road presence. As said above, not particularly photogenic

I've driven the new M3C with a 8spd quite a few times and I'll admit it's a very well sorted and very liveable vehicle. Some things I'll note;
Due to the ZF trans it softened the shift significantly. If you're having fun letting the tail wag it shifts so smoothly/quickly that it doesn't upset the car's balance at all. Makes the car effortlessly drift for days. That being said, if you want a rough kick you in the A$$ 7spd shift like previous M's.. then you might not like the change. I found the sport seats (not carbon) were exceptionally comfortable. The carbon ones look awesome, but hurt my backside almost the moment I sat in the car. Steering wheel is almost excessively thick and the interior feels like it's form fitted around the driver. Hate to say it; but, I actually like the grills on the black on black color combo. Find the car looks aggressive from almost any angle. Niggles that I didn't like.. Why the hell does the car need a power trunk lid? You mean you can't close a light weight trunk lid by hand..?!? Exhaust note.. I don't know.. IMO the cold start just doesn't sound good. It's almost like its not deep enough, or almost to raspy. Those are my takeaways and this is the car I drove. Picture was taken the day I was installing the Stealth Hitch on my M40i |

My opinion, rwd version of m3 and m4 is useless crap, what a sense to have rwd with 700hp+ on stage, and even for daily better use xdrive version, don't known who buy it, i would buy f80 generation for track

That grill is the worst design decision in the history of BMW and probably top 10 of all time automotive history. I've literally seen people off the street just blatantly point and laugh at it.
And trust me, as someone who has owned 12 different M3s over the last 20 years, it pains me to say all of this. |

But the worst part is people will buy them, the looks will "grow on them" and BMW will think they were proven right. Even though they probably won't be. |

Curious a lot of you guys are replacing the F97 with the G80. Did you guys not use the space in the F97? I feel like this is where the car really stands out and you can use it for so many things.
