Yes. Let them do it. If the shop you are asking to install them is reputable, they will know what to do.

if a vehicle doesn't have the adaptive button on the side, and there is no adaptive mode from factory, does anyone know, if the adaptive driving is activated with bimmercode (to start the vehicle in adaptive mode) and through enabling a few other options in expert mode ( shows 'adaptive' next to P indicator now ), will it put steering and throttle in adaptive mode or no?

I don't have adaptive mode on my car but see it available to code in BimmerCode. I don't know if it will activate if I select that option. My experience with BimmerCode is that if you don't have that option it will not show up like for example active sound design. The g30 540 doesn't have that so I don't see it. So since adaptive mode is showing up in BimmerCode I'm hoping that option is actually available to code even if it the adaptive mode button is not available on the car.

AFAIK, you also need hw for it to work - adaptive dampers. Someone more knowledgeable might correct me.

Is there any way to enable remote start on a 2021 x3 m40i? I was told that they all have built in remote start but it's turned off from the FOB unless you pay for the option

My understanding is that adaptive mode adjusts three things on the fly: suspension, engine (throttle response), and transmission. If there is no adaptive suspension installed on the vehicle, there won't be any adjustment to the suspension. It is unclear to me if engine and transmission are then adjusted because they can. I can imagine a scenario where they are because the car simply adjusts what it can. I can also imagine a scenario where the absence of the adaptive suspension generates an internal error code as the car tries to adjust it, and the car responds by not adjusting anything.

Seems to me that the easiest way to find the answer is to code it and see what the car does.

No... You can not buy that option if you have a 2020 or 2021.

Other car brands that cost 60% less got it, but the LCI should have it

I think in G30's comes as an standard option in BC, also in F models...I don'¡t think G01/G02 are so much different. I'm interested as well.

Can you be a bit more specific what you mean by this? Unlike the front headlights on the G01, which include dedicated daylight driving lamps, the rear lights do not include such dedicated lamps. How do you envision the rear DRL's to work?
