Question 2004 X3 all wheel drive failure and replacement

Morning all;

I have confirmed I have the common failed worm gear on the all wheel drive actuator. I replaced the whole unit with a new one but the all wheel drive light is still on and I don't think I have all wheel drive yet?

All my searching comes up with the actuator replacement only and this always seems to fix the issue.

Is there something else I should/could be looking at for this error?

Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers
Don

Hi Don, did you calibrate afterwards, which warning lamps (like 4x4, ABS, Brake) have you now and had before? Which failure codes do you have? Cheers Ralph
