Mission Performance Full e85 tune
Just saw this so posting:
I wonder how quick it'll be. In another post it mentioned they were also running 30lbs of boost, im currently at 22.4 max with the BM3 e30 tune https://missiontuning.com/bmw-engine...lash-tune.html Quote:

30lbs of boost is how you go kaboom LOL
BM3 STG 1 E30 at 22-24lbs is running same 1/4 mile as they are which makes no sense then. Posting my STG1 E30 and Custom E50 Times with full tank all testing, crappy 21s Conti where i can't get a good 60 ft like they are and much much warmer weather. Weather is key here, some ppl can get a nice run in perfect conditions but being able to reproduce good results each month especially June-Sept is what speaks. 10.67@130mph slip is my friend's STG2 E50 X3MC on 21's with Michelin Other slips multiple 10.8x are mine STG1+ E50 X4MC on 21's with crappy Conti's. Both Custom Tuned by the same TristateBm3 Tune @Bm3Tuning If you see on dragy, bmw_romy and bmw_f9xm are the fastest lol no others have come close in the last few months.

I did see times were similar, which i agree makes no sense to run more boost. I'm more interested in simplicity of filling up with e85. I bet BM3 full e85 would be nuts.

gents (and a few gals) i didn't mean to speak for MP - don't take my comments as a basis for comment or claims from them (i could be way off) / Alex does all kinds of one-offs that he may or may not offer as a product.
As an example toyota corporate global with their reputation on the line and the pick of any tuner in the world hired him to tune their TRD supra - i'm not sure if that is a public product |

I don’t believe the 30 psi is sustained throughout the entire rpm band, the midrange yes, but the turbos aren’t designed for 30 psi at 7000 rpm.
I see hit hit 10.6x in the other thread with tune only, not bad. |

For the purpose of keeping the thread on track: Yes we offer full E85 support for S58 and this platform showed amazing results on pure e85. The full E85 package will be as always adaptive, allowing from e65 to e90 to be in your tank making filling up a no brained. No mixing. Just go to the e85 station, fill and go. All the packages and options will be posted on a separate thread in the next few days.
Regarding boost: Time after time we have to go into this and the same answer stands: "boost" numbers are all relative and do not mean anything taking out of big picture. For example, a stock S58 can easily hit 2600hpa around 4K on a warm day, which equates to about 24psi at the charge pipe. BMW knows exactly what they are doing and they will lower timing and raise boost to maintain the desired torque as that is a best/proper strategy and helps a lot during load transition. Our stage 2 fallows same idea BMW put in place and doesn't come boost capped as that's the safest way to put down proper power. On a nice, dense and cool day, you will be seeing much lower boost in area of 2500hpa (22-24psi) with elevated timing and on a hotter, humid days when timing is not reachable Safely, the timing targets are lowered and boost targets are raised to the area of 3000hpa (29psi) in the mid range and tapered off to 2700hp at the top end. Boost and ignition targets are variables and depend on condition and are modified by safety variables in place. FSociety I do realize you just enjoy stalking and posting anything you can on threads involving us, but this is just looking pretty sad and like someone is getting a nice kickback. 30psi is not safe you say? Ok please show me your degree and let us know how you are credible to make that statement. Since 2009 when we entered the BMW tuning world and started with a relatively small local client base, we have not had a SINGLE engine failure due to our strategies. Only failure we have ever experienced is a failed spark plug (Achilles Heel on early B58s that even fails on stock application) that did NOT result in engine failure. Can you say the same for your tuner of choice? And yes, we are already running 10.58s fully stock and on Conti tires in 83% humidity and 1500da. Boost hits about 3000hpa at mid range and tapers off to 2800hpa(26psi) after 6k. Not close to the limits of the S58 platform but very close to unacceptable stress levels on the transfer case and front diff. |

Very interested in the full E85 capability... How is this achieved without flex fuel sensor? Or can I assume the car has the capability from the factory to read ethanol content (since the owners manual says it can take up to E25) and you are just further allowing it to adjust up to E85 via ECU table?
Very impressed by your work so far Alex!
