Might be a stupid question but on a lease would this be an issue upon the return since the sizes are not stock?
Also just considering keeping my stock conti's to put them back on end of lease but want some cash now to offset the cost

read this entire thread, it seems the consensus is that a 265/295 setup looks great, handles well, however for those of us that are lowered with spacers, there is some rubbing noted on big dips/bumps. I am lowered on H&R springs with 15mm spacers. IG @Jumper_f97

i am contemplating upsizing when i order my AS 4's, but as much as i like the wider stance particularly in the rear, i am reluctant due to fitment issues and the likelihood of rubbing. sigh...

so go with 12mm to illuminate rubbing. what's the problem. u will be 98% perfect to be flush with fenders and no rubbing.

You want 35 not 40 for the rear if you are going 295.

Just ordered Michelin AS 4s 295 rears but still undecided between 255 and 265 fronts. Oddly enough the 255s are slightly more expensive and appear tougher to source in my area

My questions is, for an all-weather tire, why not run the same size all the way around? In snow, you'd want the tires a little thinner. And if they're the same size all-around you'll be able to rotate them and substantially increase the life of the tire.
I have the OEM winter wheel/tire setup. While all four tires are the same size, the width of the wheel in the front is narrower than in the rear (though I don't remember the actual widths at the moment. The only way you can rotate the winter tires is if you dismount and remount unless that is what you were talking about.

Hi everyone, been lurking for a bit and this is my first post. Won't bore you with all the cars and mods, etc. I'll get to the point.

I too am interested in moving my rear tires to the front and getting 295s in the rear, but I am a bit lowered with MSS Kit. Will my fronts and rears rub with this set up?

No, but get 12mm spacers. Some have reported on hard bumps it might hit. Rare though.

Thank you so much! I was thinking about the spacers to push it out a bit and not risk rubbing. Considering lowering the MSS to the lowest settings, while I'm very happy with the comfort of the MSS right now, you do notice that the car does bounce a bit more around hard corners (obviously), but unfortunately that took some confidence away.

Really want to chip/tune the X3MC but I'm reading that MY21+ cannot get tuned due to new encryption on our DMEs. Unless someone came out with something. Wanted the Akro exhaust but really think there is no point in getting an exhaust unless I'll get performance out of it - not too hung up on aesthetics anymore at my age. Maybe 10 years ago I may have gone with some carbon outside pieces, Carbon intake and probably some HREs, but no longer care about the looks as I think the X3MC looks aggressive enough as it is.

Thank you for the tip, I'll have to probably order it to my house in DC from some US vendor and import the parts to Seoul

Anyone here end up doing 255 / 295?

On the tire size calculator they seem to be a better match. I also could not locate ANY 265 Michelin PS4 AS tires. I called everywhere and just said screw it with the 255 oem front size.

Hi,
I did... stayed with the 255s on the front and went to 295 on the rears.
I personally like the 40mm size difference, and couldn't justify buying 4 new MPS4 tires, since I had just bought new 255/265 earlier this fall.
They (255s) are a slight closer match to the 295s, but most folks like to have the extra width on the pavement for the fronts.

Really can't go wrong with either 255 or 265s.

Yes and it works out well with the PS4AS.

Running 285 front / 295 rear and super low profile PS4S. Why? There was a F90 M5 who wanted to run different wheels and lets just say the deal was way too good to the point where I was essentially paying for rubber and got rims thrown in . Needless to say, I picked up a set of 1000km old h&r springs from a local shop for $300CAD. Rubber is pretty much new so until they wear out, I'll get a higher profile tire. Will have pics on when the car gets lowered.

Has anyone done this setup with the new 892M wheels? I was planning on swapping the existing PS4 265/40's that are in my rear now to the front wheels, and buying a new rear pair of PS4 295/35s for when I get ready to swap my winter wheels back to summer wheels.
I am assuming the offset of the new competition wheels are the same as the other ones so this will be fine, but I have not seen anyone do this setup on the new 892Ms.

Are the improvements in ride that are being reported mainly due to a tire model change or a change in size (front and rear)?
