Halogen to LED Bulbs

Hi All,

My X3 has the halogen headlights. I am looking to switch out the Low Beam (H7 bulb) with an LED bulb. Does anyone have any suggestions? I assume with any bulb I will have to code out the bulb warnings?

I heard there is a risk of a large scatter due to how the bulb works. Is there any recommendations on a specific bulb manufacture? I have found some on Amazon, eBay, etc. but not sure if there is one recommended by this group?

Admittedly, the beam does scatter some. It's bright, but the majority of the focus is the same as the halogens. Truly though, the reflector housings are not designed for LED bulbs so I'm sure sometimes I'm annoying other drivers around me.

Thank you Iowa X3 . I did come across your post. Did you have to drill or make any modifications to the assembly?

Others - I saw some 360 degree LEDs (4 sided bulbs). Would this be better than the 2-sided LED bulbs that you see online?
