HAHA. I was thinking the exact same thing. Those droopy grills and unfinished/not connected headlights to the grill makes this X3 seem like a backwards design style in my eyes. Like I said in another post, this looks way too much like the M140i hatchback which it's been a been there seen that design years ago which isn't very attractive.

Also that dash would have looked MUCH better if they had extended the trim completely over to the passengers Airvent. The way they styled it looks cheap unfinished and an obvious cost cutting measure.

As an owner of over 14 BMW's in 20 years I can say this brand has lost a lot of the appeal that made someone want to own and aspire to owning a BMW with the direction they have taken in tuning their vehicles. Before they were leaps and bounds ahead of the competition. Now they're average at best.

Pretty sure that's standard on Luxury/M-Sport models and an option on the rest, code 4AW.

All X3 dash will look the same. Trim color or choice will be able to be changed but not the shape of the dash etc.

My point is that it looks cheap and unfinished.

and why are you comparing a Sport coupe to SAV/SUV?

When the "e" version is released, I hope the option is available for aggressive regenerative braking is added. I just traded my i3 for a 330e and the feature I most miss is "one-pedal" driving. This is a software function. The 330e has the option in the "vehicle" settings to apply the "sport" setting to chassis, drivetrain, or both. I'd like to see a similar option for regenerative braking.

It's my opinion and I'm allowed to express how I and many others in the auto business for whom I work for feel.

Now calling me a kid, which I am not and assuming I have to go buy a used Bentley is pretty presumptuous of you and shows how much intelligence you have if bullying with words is your method.

0-60 4.3 based on actual tests? M40i will probably be around 4.4 when its tested, BMW is always conservative with those numbers, US companies are not (in fact they sometimes list times better than anyway can really get).

and as already said, anything but 75+ temp and dry, the X3 wins.
what are the 5-60 times? that is more accurate for real world and AWD usually shines with that.

It's because only the grouches commented on the pre-release leak. I waited to see what the real car would look like before making any comments. It's like Yelp, you're more likely to write a review if you're unhappy.

The leaked pix were exactly like the official car though. I think the new X3 looks great. The interior has a bit too much silver for my liking but pretty good.

Yes but I didn't know that at the time, hence why I withheld my comments until the reveal.

Also I'm tired of all the grouches who say "BMW has lost it" and talk about how much better it was in the old days. Well people have been saying that for years and I think the cars are as good as ever. Change is progress and progress is good.

Maybe it's because I'm young and so I like the latest and greatest. But then again, it's the younger generation that will be the future buyers of BMWs...

Don't think it's the age. I'm pretty young too and have been a fan for a long, long time. But I too am was disappointed with the recent offerings from BMW. Also, keep in mind that the older folks are the ones that buy higher ens models as well as having the influence on their kids, the younger generation.

See I am not the only one. There are many more whom see it this way as well. When you're a consumer for years, you have experience and pick up on things that companies start cutting corners. I am all for progress. What I am not for is companies resting on their laurels and expect that whatever product they put out people will buy them. I am not saying the current BMW's are terrible vehicles. What I am pointing out is that they're no longer the leaders as they used to be 15 years ago. They're just focusing on profits, which I understand.

But by focusing on that, it is starting to diminish what made BMW a BMW. Sales figures are starting to show as they got beat by Mercedes and Lexus last year.

Only the experience that comes with being a customer for years, could lead one to the conclusion that by not extending the dash trim all the way across in front of the passenger, that it is an obvious cost cutting measure.

It couldn't possibly be they just designed it that way.

For me, the exterior is the step back from F25. The 1/x1 design style is not appropriate for any bigger BMWs. The front end is soft, "funny", and too "kawaii" for X3. The tail lamps are just another version of Toyota RAV4's before its face lift though the 3d look helps but not much. It looks like the front, sides, and rear are from three different designers.

Interior is definitely better than F25, but still dark and not the best in its class when comparing to Mercedes GLC and Porsche Macan at the same trim level.

I hope G01 can get the full digital gauge cluster as the standard equipment. The partial one on G30 is the worst in both worlds.

I don't like the new leveled option selection system. I have to add ZPP/ZMP and ZDA first in order to get ACC w/ stop & go. Safety and convenient features should be selectable as standalone options though I would get ZPP, ZDA, ZDB, and ZPX (if any) if I had custom-ordered it.
