One of my friend bought kit for his m5 f90 - mh800, he spend like 20k eur for remap, pipes + carbon bonnet, his car time was 6.6 (100-200), normal st2 solution on m5 f90 now is 5.7 (100-200)

Just picked up the X4 from SS
They removed the two OPF filter and the small central silencer . The rear silencer still O.E.
The sound is fantastic . Amazing how to remove the two OPF the sound become very loud .
I drove for 200Km , no error on the dashboard appeared . 5000 rpm / 6000rpm no error light .
To be sure , Monday morning I send the car for an ECU service in order to disable OPF sensor , VMAX , activation burbles and why not , see how many hp they can reach .

Check engine can appear in 500km, is iam understood right, that car has stock ECU settings and u just remove OPF FILTERS? You need to check logs in any application, if OPF error is appear, probably it can be just error without check engine light appear

If it is just an error that does not involve recovery , without error lights it would be greatt. I await the 500 km and then we will know.

Using the Bimmercode app to enable or disable some function that aren’t in the optional you payed to BMW is the same .
To unlock DVD in motion is forbidden from the law and from BMW . To disable start and stop same .
Changing the shock absorber with some performance KIT or the spring . BMW say , you have modified the car from O.E SPEC . You lose the warranty.
Installing a spacers KIT ( forbidden from the law In Italy and EU ) and after having some issue on the control arms or bearings BMW say : " you modify the car from the original SPEC and you louse the Warranty "

Any modification made and not authorized by the manufacturer is equivalent to losing the warranty .

An ECU remap is more serious than modifying other parts , but for sure, an issue on some parts not involved on the engine or some other components will be on warranty .
This is my personal opinion .
In Italy , exhaust , brake rotors – brake pads etc etc are wearing parts and you can change with some aftermarket parts without lousing the warranty . They must be omologate .
You can do the service by your self during the official warranty , you must use quality aftermarket spare parts . This is Italian law .

I made 1000 KM from Wednesday until today and any light come on dashboard.

Strange. Only my car is running well after 1.500KM ?
Just for information , after the yellow engine light then car continued running or it was necessary to connect the OBD and cancel the error ?

It's really strange. Did u run car really aggressive? like 250 km/h etd?
Dealer said the filter is working only when exhaust is very hot.

Also there is different temperature, here i have +15 degree (Portugal)

Car is running perfect, just yellow light is on


I did like 200 km/h on road 160-270 km/h, after i ve stopeed to put some gas - check is appeart after 5 min when i leave gas station

1500Km no light ! Very strange..
Next week ECU remap in order to avoid possible engine error and put some more HP .

You will remap the car or you come back to O.E exhaust ?
