I wish BMW provided us a factory option for a black painted roof. I think it would be a very popular option IMO. I’d pay $1k for an option like that.

You could probably take the car to a decent paint shop and they'd paint it for less than that

Luckily with a wrap you can put it back to standard easier than if it had been painted though.

Looking excellent! Question about your mirror caps, did you order them straight from BMW? Or are they aftermarket?

Aftermarket. I took a chance with an eBay special. A little heavier than stock and fitment is 8/10. But overall I was impressed considering the price. I love the style and BMW doesn’t make and m-division mirror for the M40 (unless you replace the entire mirror assembly with the X3M one)

Okay good to know, thanks so much. Yea I checked with BMW and the price list for all necessary parts for the OEM X3M mirrors was a little crazy. Is this piece just a cap that pops on, no fiddling with the mirror or anything? And shipping was relatively quick?

You have to remove the glass from the mirror to get to two tabs that hold the mirror cap on. The glass pops out fairly easily, but I will say the first time I tried to remove the glass it is a little nerve-wracking. It took me about 35 minutes the first one because I thought I was going to break it. Just be careful because I've heard of other members breaking the glass and a replacement is $300.

After that, it is as simple on pulling off the mirror caps with a little force while applying pressure to the tabs. Then pop the new mirror caps on.

Bad news!. I lost the right splitter on the highway earlier today. The kit came with pop rivets, but because the fitment was so far forward it would have damaged the area of the front bumper that would be seen if I removed the splitters. So I just had both splitters 3M taped to the bumper.

It wasn't enough to hold it. Oh well. I liked the look, but I knew it wouldn't hold. I wish there was a carbon kit out there that didn't cost $$$.

True, but lease return would be an absolute nightmare. $$$

Do you have the panoramic sunroof? So they just had to wrap an oval on the roof instead of the entire thing right?

They wrapped the entire roof. One piece. Then cut out the moonroof area. If they didn't do it that way there would be a multiple seams across the solid panel.
