That's what I was expecting for Xenon lights. There is no other separate light modules, only FRM, which is already properly coded. Try just clearing the errors with E-Sys Transmitter. If they don't clear, you will need to get ISTA to diagnose the issue.

Thanks Shawn - I ended up discovering that I had both (1) a bent pin in my LED module connector and (2) yet another bad Xenon Control Unit from an eBay vendor. Always go BMW Genuine for these parts.

In summary: if anyone out there has problems similar to mine, you do NOT need to code anything with the Xenon headlights + Adaptive Headlight functionality if all you are doing is swapping out the associated Xenon Control Unit, which is a fairly common failure with the F25 X3. Mine initially failed because the access port on the back of the sealed headlight somehow fell off, allowing rain in, frying the first Xenon Control Unit. Subsequent failures were due to the crappy quality of $50 Xenon control units out there.

Hi shawnsheridan. I read a lot from this thread and you are doing an amazing job here. Thank you about that. I am a programmer and first time have a BMW and think about coding stuff. Could you please pm me the esys instructions? Also if there is a BMW guide or somthing like that for understanding Function Codes that would be great too.

Hey Shawn i have the version 3.27.1 but wehen i connect it to a f46 i cant read the vcm just ecu do you now how to fix it or do you have also the latest version for a 2 series f46. Shouldni use the f20 or f56 series for the car

Need to use F056 Connection target.

Must use Read (ECU) not Read (VCM).

Hello Shawn, may I have the manual as well?

I'd like to check with you. Is Win 10 ok to work with? I have flashed my car with BM3 and XHP, any changes with transmission in the E-sys will contraditory with XHP?
