Merc definitely looked more grippy in this video, but we don’t know the track/tire temperatures in both runs to really make any meaningful conclusions.

The Jag has more character and feels more raw though, I don't care if the N63 will make it any faster, the Jag's engine is way more to my liking.

MB, Jag, BMW, Infinite. Had over $35k in tools Now he's that guy they call on the phone when the young snapper techs can't figure how to diagnose or fix a car. Forgive me RangeRover owners. He said and I quote; "The biggest piece of crap rolling" Not unusual to replace engines in them under warranty He tells me some crazy arse stories sometimes Funny My childhood friend is making a decision sometimes on who gets a new engine or not. Based on a ton of variables of course |

That's the great thing about opinions, everyone has their own and can like some things better than others. I like the Jag engine, others like the BMW, and some may prefer another brand! |

It was a recent conversation with my friend. Agreed on lexsus comment I'm not interested in SUV's Only to rent to move my son to and from college. Dodge caravan for the win😆 Funny... I just finished reading this book; "Talking to Strangers" It's about misunderstandings; it was a good read and a bit creepy |

I am six months into ownership of the Jag SVR and it is phenomenal. The sound is fantastic. The GLC is the only one that comes remotely close, and the aftermarket exhaust options (at $5,000-$8,000) for the X3M will not level that part of the playing field.

Both cars, the X3M and the Jag, are phenomenal. Jag clearly wins the sound contest. What a nice orgasmic sound! BMW humbly wins the price, performance, handling, technology, and, last but not least, moddability contest.

Isn’t it a tad naive to buy an M car and think it will be a comfy daily driver? Besides, almost nobody here complains about the ride quality. And lastly, there is a relatively easy fix for your problems. It’s called MSS Urban springs.

Don’t know about the price — when you add what you are about to drop on the exhaust, plus the springs and labor to install, you likely will be above the cost of a comparably equipped Jag. But the difference in the +/- $90k is not decisive. Neither is the performance or handling difference unless the owner plans to track the car and do so at its limit or take it to a drag strip. The purchasing decision comes down to personal preference, as it should with all these fine choices. For me, the Jag’s ride quality, linear power delivery, sound, exterior and interior appearance, and handling in daily and spirited driving struck the best balance. I have no quarrel with anyone choosing the X3M, GLC, Alfa, or Macan if the combination those cars offer suit better.

I 2nd this. I own a 2020 F Type, the NAV/Interior is very similar to the SVR. To me it's a very rudimentary interior with basic tech. I drove and almost bought a White/Red 2020 SVR before my X4MC. There is absolutley no comparison of Interior Quality, Tech or Handling between the two. The only thing the Jag had on the BMW is sound, obviously no comparison to a V8. To me, the SVR felt like the Grand Chrokee Track Hawk, a 10 year old design that needs a major refreshing. Still a nice car, not worth the 86k price tag in my opinion.

The sound those two cylinders make sure is awesome though .. not going to lie about that one. I'd probably go AMG just for the sound TBH. Both are great though.

I hope not. I mean, I daily drove my F80 M3 when I had it, and it was fine. I don't anticipate this being any different.

Don't recall the exact thread, but it was pointed out some months back that many sharing your thoughts seem to come from a background of more luxurious rides which may understandably skew the perception. Notice you list the M6 Grand Coupe as one of your vehicles, so would make sense if that is a reference point for you. The X3M/X4M make no claims to be comfortable rides, but they do, IMHO, live up to the M standard for which they were designed. |
