BTW there is a short video of this speaker kit being installed on product page...https://www.aliexpress.us/item/32568...d=cctSS9v6iAL0 And another seller showing the kit for cheaper https://www.aliexpress.us/item/32568...andl_shipto=US... its cheaper cause it doesn't say B&W on the grills. Ooo yaaa. Ive been enjoying them for a few weeks now. Shoutout to Burr for coming down to CT to install it for me. Anyone else interested in getting these in and need help I can lend a hand too.
FYI for getting the end's through the front by the pillar. It would be a good idea to tie a zip tie to the end. And that way you have a sturdy piece to slide up the pillar vs a noodle. 😆

ooook so just wrapped this up, took about 3 hours for me but I hit a few roadblocks in my install, If I had to do it a second time would definitely take within an hour and a half.
Firstly, not sure if this is exactly what suby had recommended with the zip tie trick, but I fished most of the connection as far as I could up the a-pillar, and then taped up a really big ziptie as my makeshift snake. It was big enough to be reachable from both ends. Doing this again I would have used an actual snake, there's things that the zip tie head can catch on that can be a pain. Hit an issue with my left side, when I plugged the actual light in, I had unterminated the pin for the blue leds without realizing it, and when I tested everything was off without blue I ended up losing the entire strip in the headliner trying to fish the connector back out to fix it, and had to squeeze a bunch to get it back. Re pinned the connector and all was great, love the look, very oem+. I was running cyan/red for a while but I might change the combo, wondering what would look best. Looks way better in person, hard to get the lighting right: |

Anyone knows any shop or personnel in the Bay Area can install this? This looks really cool!

I like the idea of these but don't like the fact that there is nothing to really secure them in place. I would prefer to have it be perfectly wedged in and sticking out only at the edge. And even all the way throughout. I only tried one side and some spots go in a little easier than other areas. My headliner has been removed once before so perhaps the tension against the roof is slightly different now but I just overall wasn't happy with how loose and inconsistent it looked. Great idea though.

Are you guys sliding it between the metal and the headliner? As long as you get in straight. It stays put. Takes forever to align but its done once in.
