Buy-Off Lease?
2015 x3 xDrive 28i. Black/Black Leather; Cold Weather Package; Driver Assistance Package; Premium Package. 22,000 mi. Excellent Condition; No Service Issues. Pre-Pay Lease exp. 02/2018. I can buy out today for US$25.5K, or at 02/18 residual of US$26.5K. I'm planning on retiring in a couple of years, so am considering buying this vehicle, plus an extended warranty, and driving it for another four years or more. Given my upcoming "life change," alternatives seem more expensive and far less appealing: Outback, Highlander, etc. Opinions welcomed, as well as any "hidden expenses" I may not be taking into account. This is a great forum. I always learn so much here. Thanks!

MinnJim, read input re. purchase on X4 thread - indicates that you should avoid buying new car, i.e. keep current.
BMW has "steal rates" on parts/repair - extended warranty is good. Since buying new car is expensive - keeping car even after warranty is out , is often economic. I have 2014 X4 and a 1997 9000 Turbo. Currently X4 is on studded tires - 9000 on non-studded wintertires. |
