Tread life of 21" tires?

I'm considering purchasing a gently used 2018 M40i and it has the 718M wheels. I'm not sure which tire is on it but I know there's only a couple options. I've never had a car with summer tires before, what kind of tread life should I expect? I drive a good amount for work so I'm concerned about how big of a money pit these tires could become as I drive a around 15k miles per year. Thanks!

I have the Bridgestones on mine - I am at 14K miles - getting close to replacement time - maybe another 1-2K miles

Not bad wear, I would be happy with 15k miles from a set 👍

So it sounds like I'd be replacing them every year at a cost of at least $1.5k. If I wanted to use A/S tires i guess my only option would be to get new wheels. Would I have much trouble selling the 21" wheels with around 13k mikes on them?

I doubt it, the 718's are cracking. I would have them but UK based

I won't be happy as that means I'll be replacing tires every year.
