After weeks of che king multiple times a day, my week 39 M40i moved from Scheduled for Production to.. wait for it.. Production Begins!

I’m also a week 39 build for my xDrive 30i. Mine was in “production begins” since 9/12. Bmw Genius said estimated completion date is 9/25.

I took delivery last month and followed the production closely. One day it moved 5 steps along the production line. Pretty much finished in a few days.

Mine jumped to “entering assembly line” today, was at “production begins” yesterday

Mine did the same and boom it jumps several steps overnight. It seems to update not more than once a day.

Mine changed to “awaiting carrier assignment” today! My CA emailed me this morning saying that it might arrive before the end of the month!

I’ve been on the bmwusa website. I created a login and using your production number or VIN you can track the cars progress through assembly and delivery. Although I think it does update only once a day.

We have an option to track it through "Track my BMW / My Garage" on mygarage.bmwusa.com.

Believe it is different for UK and you'd have to go through your CA or Genius.

Guys I picked her up today. 380 miles later and she is parked in my garage. Hood is still wrapped. She is a beauty. Did not enjoy the 382hp just yet but sound wise I am definitely satisfied.

Mine STILL hasn't moved off of Production Begins. I'm sure it's because I started this thread and check 6x a day.

I called BMW. Automated progress gave a projected completion date of 10/1. Pls be true!

For me my order was placed on 9/7, production number given 9/10, Production began on 9/12, Production completed 9/25

Impressive timeline.

Placed my order 9/22. Got a production number right away. Still waiting on it to start production. Dealer said “3-4 weeks” for the car to be ready to be picked up.
