ER Catted Downpipe Installed w/Review!
Hey guys,
In my illustrious attempt to hit 11's with a tune only in an OK DA I have come very close - 12.1 @ 113 (see sig). Knowing that I would either need to just get some really good DA (-1xxx) or add some more hardware to get 11's, I decided to try the hardware  After carefully looking at all downpipe options, ER seems to be the best in terms of fitment and size. I will spare the details and try to hit on some good points some folks might be interested in... Specs: Ultra-high flow 200 CPSI race catalytic converter True 5" (127mm) diameter catalyst T304 high grade stainless steel Weight:  Fitment: Perfect, I had a BMW tech install the DP and supplied all new hardware (2 clamps and 1 gasket). He said no issues whatsoever, and also no turbo shaft play  Sound: Well its definitely a bit louder, reminds me a bit of an external wastegate under moderate throttle. I tested the start up before and after DP with a decibel meter, results below.  Acceleration: I was able to get a good 0-60 stock and ER, results are good! I believe this DP is good for about .15 - .2 in the 1/4 mile which hopefully will get me to the 11's where I would like to go. MP Tune w/93 octane w/STOCK DP  MP Tune w/93 octane w/ER DP  Other - - No smell - No leaks - Have a CEL for P0420 but Alex is getting me an updated tune to take that out  MissionPerformance I am happy
