it seems when you drive on Comfort only the right one works. If you drive on Sport mode then both exhausts open.

Called the dealer they said normal. Only if it is needed the second one opens up. Crazy German engineers and their emission controls lol

Brown?! I've never seen it. On all video reviews and photos I've seen I always saw a grey-ish car and I see the same on my X3 (although it's Phytonic Blue). Yes, it would be cool to see the same color on the 3D model, but unfortunately it's not the case on iDrive 6.

when you installed the app and logged in, did the app automatically add your car? or did you have to add it manually. I've installed the app, and when its plugged into the car via usb, it sees all the details, and I can send destinations to it etc, but it won't allow me to add the vehicle (says my VIN cant be registered to the account). the car is however listed on my Canadian connected page online. but this app doesnt appear to use that info. it wont even allow a Canadian or US location when you try to create an account.

That's weird. Mine shows up no issues. The app does randomly disconnect while I am driving. No idea why.

Question - do Canadian X3's come with Acoustic glass on front side windows? I heard someone say it was standard in Canada.

I don't have my X3 yet to physically check so thought I'd ask. There is no option of Acoustic Glass in Canada, so hoping it's standard?

Hey everyone I'm taking delivery of our X3 next weekend. Mine comes with the 19" wheels but I'd like to find some OEM 20" wheels. Particularly interested in 695 but I'm open to considering others. Toronto Area.

Does your X3 have the M-Sport wheels? If so, I would suggest keeping them because they're amazing!

Is the 695 silver or black? If I recall it right all the photos of the real wheel I saw on the internet showed a black wheel, not silver. No matter what color, it looks good! Just keep in mind that running on 20" wheels might reduce a bit the ride comfort.

Btw, what's the color of your X3?

Thanks for the input! It's a non-m sport model in black. It currently has the 19" Style 692. I will be using those for winter tires and would like to run some 20s during the spring. I thought I saw a few bi-colour 695 and saw lots of black so I'm open to both options. I don't mind reduced comfort with 20s. We're use to it as we have 20" on the GLE we traded in.

I think the 695 black one are 18'' winter kit as the bi colours are 20'' OEM.

Can't wait to get my winter kit off and install my 695 on for the first time.

Is anybody here having problems logging in the Canadian BMW connected app for Android?

It was working just fine, suddenly I noticed I was logged out and now every time open the app I see a dialog talking about the "new" connected app.
In fact, it seems to be talking about the Connected App for the US market - which is better by the way as it provides more info like open/closed status of doors, hood, trunk lid and roof, besides effectively supporting 3D surround view(!).

The dialog provides a link to the "new" app on the play store. However, I can't download the app - it says it's not available in Canada - and, at the same time, I can't log in the old app anymore.

I have the impression BMW is adding support to Canadian BMWs on the US version of the connected app (Android). If that's the case - hopefully it is as, as I said, the US has a better app - I hope they fix it soon.

The BMW Remote Canadian app doesn't work anymore (on apple).
The Connected app is a little better, where I see more functions but can't make them work...the lock/unlock and 3D view doesn't, so the only use is the localization and send an address to the gps. Maybe I'm doing something wrong...
Too bad as the lock/unlock function would be cool.
In the USA they also have an app on Apple where your phone becomes the key, so no need for the remote anymore...but again not available in Canada.

What?! Even the iOS app is broken? It's another sign that BMW might be updating the US version of the app (both on Android and iOS) to support Canadian cars instead of keeping that old, silly app here. The app available in the US is not perfect either, it seems to be also buggy but at least it has more (and useful) features.

Are you sure it works on the X3? As far as I remember reading, it's a feature only on the X5 and X7, but I might be wrong.

I've asked the Genius about the app replacing the phone and he said it was an option available only in the USA...maybe he's wrong.

For the Connected app, I can locate my car, send an address to the GPS, was able to make the 3D view work once, but the door lock doesn't work, I get an error message saying another request is already in use...or something like that.

But at least I can find my Blue truck in a parking lot...didn't needed it for my previous M435 as it was Dakar Yellow, I was able to find it with my eyes closed.

New BMW App works fine for me (it replaces the BMW Remote App). Can view 3D no problem as well as lock car and turn lights on. This is on Apple in Canada. You can even load more than one car on this app (unlike the previous).
