Coding made Easy: A step by step procedure

I'm trying to first check the availability of WiFi in my car and if so, enable CarPlay on my 2018 X3 G01, but I'm a bit lost.
I already have E-Sys 3.30.1 and Launcher Pro 2.8.2, but I don't know if with these versions I'm able to do what I want, as in the main series list I don't see G001 (it is supposed to be the correct one for my car).

Hi Shawn,

I have F25 2013. ISTA cannot see the EPS module.
The power steering is not working.
I have E_SYS 3.27.1 and LAUNCHER PRO 2.8.2.162.
My current I-level is F025-13-07-505.
My PSDZDATA doesn't have such a file.
Could you please send me a link to psdzdata with the file for my F25?

You do not need matching PSDZDATA version. You need PSDZDATA version >= to current I-Step. Use what you have, unless it is older.

I have psdzdata LITE, no I-step version 13-07-505, versions start with F25_20_03_540

And F25-20-03-540 is >= to F25-13-07-505, so you can code with it.

Set Launcher to Default Memory setting.

Even when set to default memory as soon as you click on hammer/wrench icon application closes and the only change saved is the path to E-Sys

Yes. As for WIFI, Check Label on Head Unit, or read ENTRYNAV2 HWEL and PM it to me.

Running a fresh install of a Windows 10 VM only apps installed is ISTA+(4.29), INPA, and now E-Sys. Is there a newer version that is stable. If you click on the wrench and hammer icon after inputting the PIN the application closes, if you click in icon before PIN input then it brings up the box to input PIN and yo can verify it but that is it. The minute the PIN is input it closes the app. Do you have the the registry entries that are created and the values?

There is your problem. Launcher PRO does not support Virtual environments.

If you use VMWare, you need to to add to the .vmx file the line:

SMBIOS.reflectHost = TRUE

Switch to VMware or use ESysX instead of Launcher PRO.

SMBIOS.reflectHost = TRUE passes through the manufacturer and model of the host rather than “VMware virtual platform” or whatever it would normally present for the model.

Is there a way to tell which of the full pzdata files, there are I think 31 at 4gb each contain data for my car f40 series?
Can I just download the one or two I need for my car opposed to all which I don’t have enough disk space for?

Impossible. F40 files will not reside in any single part. You must download and extract entire psdzdata full. Use external HDD if you must.
