What Would You Do?

Got my roofline repaired because a tree crushed it. The repair shop did paintless dent repair, repainted, and applied a new panel of Expel Stealth.

Their final step was "the window guy" who replaced the small rear side window. I'm thinking the "window guy" scratched it.

I don't want to be "that customer" but would you make them redo the PPF? And if the scratch is into the paint, would you make them repaint too?

As I type this, I'm thinking the answers are yes and yes, but I welcome affirmation or other thoughts...sigh...was so great to get it back though...

Depending upon the PPF isn’t it self healing? Sounds dumb but put a heat source ie) hair dryer near the scratch and see if it helps? Otherwise whomever did it should make good on fixing it.

Yes/Yes - you bring a car to a body shop to make it factory new, not introduce new scratches.

I assume RiteAid is picking up the bill or did insurance use that "Act of God" bs?

I never got this Act of God BS. When did insurance companies find religion on their greedy execution plan? What happens if the customer is an atheist? All rhetorical guys, no need to answer.

That’s so annoying. I’ve had them pull that bs before and it never seems to work out in my favor.

Technically, wouldn’t everything be an act of god? Sorry I hit that guy, god was having a bad day. Please fix lol.

I don't think it's on you to figure out who did it....I would go back to the body shop, point out the damage and politely as them to fix it by whatever means are necessary.
