How well does the M-mobility kit work... ?

Simply wanted to ask if any of you have had to use your Mobility and if so, how did things go with it / what was your experience with it... ?

I have not used mine, but supplemented it in case it is ever needed.

Specifically, I added pliers to help with the removal of an impaled object, and a plug kit as an alternative to the sealant.

The plug kit I have is very compact: https://www.nealeytirerepairkit.com/

That's pretty neat & a great idea. I sure would like to see a quick instructional video to see it in play / motion of a repair.

My mobility kit is the spare tire option 😆. On a serious note, I don't like putting the foam in my tires and getting it all over the wheels. I strictly use Dyna Plugs and a Harbor Freight 12v pump. Works like a charm unless you have a gaping hole at which point fix-a-flat won't work anyway. Put in the Dyna Plug and save yourself a trip to the dealer or tire store, they don't lose air and they can hardly be seen

The mini would be the correct one for our X3 M. The next step up would be way WAY too long for our tires.

A basic multitool which includes pliers and a knife blade is a handy accessory for the kit. The pliers can be used to pull out the nail or other object which caused the puncture, while the knife blade is needed to cut off the plug sections which protrude from the repair after you withdraw the plug insertion tool.

Just to add to this, the mobility kit will do nothing for a severe puncture.

In my E46 M3 I hit a bad pothole and split the sidewall and bent the wheel. That resulted in 5 hours on the side of the road waiting for tow trucks.

My advise would be to get the patch kit above, but if you do any long trips it might be worth investing in a spare tire/jack and putting it in the cargo area.

Losing time sucks, but there are a lot of places in the middle of no where where cell service does not work and that will translate into a nightmare/dangerous situation.

After that experience, I will never run a car without a spare again. I deal with the hump on my X3MC.

Totally agree. That's why I ordered w/spare kit at the cost of added little extra weight and storage loss. I had 2 seperate sidewall punctures with instant zero pressure few days apart the 1st week I picked up my current s4 in NJ. The spare saved me from being stranded and towed away at 10pm the 2nd time.
