Question about Upgrading Lights
Just recently got my '14 X3 and unfortunately it didn't have the Lighting Package which comes with Xenons and the nice tail lights. Its way out of budget to do a headlight retrofit but I'm wondering is it possible to purchase the inner and outer tail light assemblies with the LED L shape lights and replace my halogen ones? I already have bimmercode and done some work with it so coding is no issue but is there going to be a problem with wiring or plug and play compatability?

Welcome to the forum D!zzy .......
Unfortunately - and most of us have felt your pain - swapping cars is much easier than swapping Lighting Packages on these vehicles. It's not a plug-n-play swap / there's a lot of hardware involved, in addition to the coding. Get the brightest halogen bulbs you can find, and just live with the half moon DRL's and single bulb tails is my best advice. |
