Downshift a gear is good - manually downshift to about 3500rpm - if petrol - is better.

I think the OP was being cautious, as he was making a video while driving.

Am I missing something? Doesn't every automatic ever made do a downshift if you floor the accelerator? Isn't that the purpose of an Automatic to change to the correct gear... ?
