2019 X3 Pricing Question

Hey All,

Do these numbers look about right, comparing MSRP to Invoice? I used the multiplication of 0.93% for base, and 0.92% for Options

-------------------------------MSRP-------------------Invoice
Base-------------------------$43,000.00------------$39,990.00
Phtonic blue-----------------$550.00----------------$506.00
convenience------------------$2,850.00--------------$2,622.00
driving assist----------------$500.00----------------$460.00
Drive assist+----------------$1,700.00--------------$1,564.00
premium---------------------$3,400.00--------------$3,128.00
Exec--------------------------$3,500.00--------------$3,220.00
Trailer Hitch------------------$550.00----------------$506.00
rear manual side window--$250.00----------------$230.00
front ventilated--------------$350.00----------------$322.00
harman kardon--------------$875.00----------------$805.00
Wireless Charging-----------$500.00----------------$460.00
Destination------------------$995.00----------------$995.00
Sub-total---------------------$59,020.00------------$54,808.00

It's become a bit harder to find out MSRP vs Invoice since the documents are no longer around (at least I haven't found them).

THanks for your help!

I was building one on costco's auto program last night, it shows invoice next to MSRP; not sure how accurate it is, but something to compare to...

That looks right . I think the formula is still the same, with the exception that invoice has a training fee of $180 on it on the dealers side (part of the invoice).

When you're responding, scroll down past the "submit reply" button and you'll see "manage attachments".

Thanks for replying.

I see that (and have no issues) replying to a POST. That option does not exist that I can see in a PM (private message).

Am I missing something or were you providing instructions on how to add an attachment to a post instead of a PM?

Oh you're right. My bad I misread. Well, in that case you cannot send pics in a private message. I have done so before but I sent a link from Flickr. You can't attach

OP: Invoice is NOT what the dealership paid for the car. They pay several thousand less or “U.S. wholesale price.” Here’s a snippet from another post at a BMW website...interesting.
———————————————————————————————-
I spoke with an employee I know who works at a BMW dealership and he said that the invoice price is at least several thousand dollars above their dealer cost. For example, a car with a MSRP of ~$50,000 has an invoice somewhere around ~$45,000, while the actual dealer cost is ~$41,000. He couldn't stress enough that the invoice price is a made up number used as a negotiating tactic. Rarely will dealers ever sell you a car for near their actual cost...both the dealer and the salesperson need to make money! The MRSP price guarantees that the sales person will make commission (over the invoice price) while the invoice price brings profit to the dealer (over the dealer cost).

————————————————————————————————

Best of luck on negotiating the best price.

Thats not entirely accurate... its not entirely inaccurate either. In any case, Op is a bmw vet and knows what invoice is and isnt.

"Actual cost" figures things like trunk money, stair step payments, and holdback. Dealers are not guaranteed any of those.

"Invoice" is what they pay for the car, before all of those. When you negotiate a deal near invoice, the salesperson makes a mini commission, somewhere around 200-300 for the sale of the car (unless there is an incentive on moving a specific model or something).

Anyway, this is not the thread for that discussion, lol.
