DIY: Wheel Cleaning - 21" Style 892M

Severe Brake Dust on our BMW X3MC's...

Here's how I took care of them on this wash... (I'm always testing and trying out new products to cut time on cleaning)

Products Used
Aenso Revolve Tire Cleaner
Aenso Isern Wheel Cleaner
Aenso Orbit Tire Dressing
Wheel Woolies Wheel Brush
Detail Factory Tire Brush
Detail Factory Wheel Brush Kit (great for inner wheel barrel)

Super Bad Brake Dust

The brake dust was so bad that I had to repeat the cleaning process a couple of times.

Looking good. If you're looking to try an alternative wheel cleaner, try Sonax. It works extremely well and is ph balanced so it'll go easy on wheel finishes.

Looks great, brake dust on the factory brake pads are so bad.... About ready to swap pads already just to mitigate the dust lol. Wheels turn brown 10 minutes of driving after cleaning them.😭

Order the Isweep Brake Pads for our cars and will give that a go, anything will be better than this.

I agree Sonax is great. I've used it for the past few cleanings and it seems to get 98% off the brake dust off without wiping. The high pressure hose is key.

I get sonax beast from DD all the time. still by far my favorite. how does Aenso compare?

stupid question: what is the order of which you apply cleaner/agitate/wash/rinse?

do you rinse, spray cleaner, soap, agitate, rinse? or just spray cleaner, agitate, soap, agitate, rinse? or spray cleaner, soap, agitate, rinse?

I see so many different methods and just get confused.

what I really want to do is get retrofit F90 carbon ceramics on this platform. but yeah. that aint happening.

@Detailers Domain,

Any chance you can post a video of your process on cleaning the 892M wheels?

I still haven't opened the Sonax I got from your mystery box back in April (must get thru all my other products first...)

I have been using Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Pro All Wheel Cleaner and Iron Remover which is pH neutral
