This NK iX3 will likely be a winner,...as it's not marketed for us old heads (...speaking mostly for myself)! It's marketed for younger buyers looking to 1) buy a BEV,...and 2) buy a small entry level BMW. A good question to ask is,...will it come with a "Frunk". I mean, sooner or later BMW will need to add vehicles with a Frunk in it's line up and the sooner the better! I know I'd be amongst those that welcome such increased storage area in their vehicles.

In 2025 only. You got time to pick up a GTS one. But that car is jumpy and stiff, id say the S is fine to get. Im not sure I like anything else in the segment. The new Macan is a great little car, perhaps too small but otherwise a solid choice.

Theyll offer an EV macan alongside ICE/Hybrid model also. It wont be pure EV model I suspect, but who knows, its expensive to do two platforms, and it is kinda compromising to build EV on non EV platform either.

So X3 then..

Yeah, I’m not sure if they’re gonna make a gasoline Macan but the 718’s will both be 100% electric.

The iX3 with a Tesla charge-plug might be the perfect daily driver.

I'd buy one only if they put a 1,000hp engine in it.

May be. Dont want to tie myself to Tesla infra, not sure what we do in Europe on that front. Im more thinking Taycan as a daily as used buy, nicely depreciating now and a great daily porsche. Just a little small, but for my needs it suits.

Doesn’t Tesla have both plugs on their Superchargers in Europe?

They do. And the Tesla network is just one of many. Daily driving a BMW EV in EU and i rarely ever use Tesla chargers.

I understand that Tesla is far ahead in the US, but in EU i would never consider it a factor when buying a car if i can/cant charge at Teslas network. There is money in EV charging, so there there is just a matter of time before you can charge anywhere in the US also.

Someone suggested BMW moving the charge port to accomodate short cables on Teslas chargers is just on a different planet. Why would they. But i understand there is a lack of infrastructure in the US.. 😄 I dont think German carmakers will design their cars around badly designed chargers from a US brand/carmaker anytime soon.. 😂😆

Or Tesla can change their superchargers to accommodate more EVs like they promised.

I see some manufacturers have charge ports on both sides, nice touch in the rare occurrence.

Result of designing a car after “OktoberFest” … Looks like the designers enjoyed the “OktoberFest” and came up with the most ugliest car they could design … I will skip this one.
