Clean X3M Brock! I followed your S4 build on Audizine. Great to see both brands getting some love!

Awesome build!

How are the V3's ride wise? I have Adaptive M Suspension on my M340 but considering lowering it. I heard they are pretty nice, and very adjustable? What are your thoughts?

I saw you at my dealer yesterday. The wheels and lowered vehicle caught my eye. I wish i was free to be able to run out and take a look!

🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷👏🏻, Love it, I think it looks stunning. I really appreciated the way it looked. One thing I thought was really smart, was the fact that you're are using 20 inch wheels, makes the X3MC faster, my BMW X3M Competition came with bigger wheels, 21 inch, probably heavier. Last but not least, the smaller wheels lower the center of gravity even.futher which is just awesome. I just totally despise the wheel gap that my X3MC came with. Your car looks amazing threw and threw...

Will you be doing turbos on it?
And are you liking it much more than the S4?

I absolutely love them and cant say enough good things. They are pricey but this is one mod that I have no regrets doing. The ride is phenomenal and it allowed me to dial in the height perfectly. I have a pretty detailed write up a few pages back if you want more selling points hahah.

I'm actually running 21s. The BC Forged are 21x9.5 and 21x11. They are significantly lighter than the OE comp wheels though. I love the aggressive look they give off but I might try 20s next time around for an even meatier tire. We'll see. Thanks for the kind words!

Turbos I'm not sure of at the moment. Part of me wants more power but part of me also loves the reliability of being stage 1. Turbos need more fuel, cooling etc which leads me down the road of the S4. It was a great car but there will always be something that needs tinkered with when you start replacing the fuel system. We'll see!

Yep! Step one is to lower this thing. KW V3's will be order this weekend.

I'm going to start with a stage 1 ethanol tune and see how far I can take it. My ultimately goal is very low 10s even if it means shedding some weight and a proper wheel and tire setup. I go to the drag strip pretty often in the summer so I'll have a lot of info to share!
Why would you lower an SUV??

Lower center of gravity which greatly improves handling, improved aero at higher speeds, increased adjustability to dial in comfort, the ability to set your ride height to your liking etc. The list goes on and on really. Just like everything in life, it's all subjective (:

I chose BM3 Stage 1 93 as my free OTS tune. I plan to run this for a couple months and get the feel for the change in characteristics. I really enjoy drag racing and the data associated with it so I plan to see just how far I can take the car on Stage 1 93 and nothing else.

So I needed a baseline.

Bone stock, 93 octane, just over half a tank of fuel.

After flashing the BM3 Stage 1 93, I dove around for about 20 miles or so to see if the ECU needed to adapt or anything (my previous Audi did). Then lined up to grab another run. Same location, slightly higher DA.

BM3 Stage 1, 93 octane, just over half a tank of fuel.

I am thoroughly impressed! I didn't think cracking a 10s slip on 93 would be this easy and shaving off a full 2 seconds on the 100-200. Next goal is to see if I can squeeze a 10.7-10.8 in a better DA!!
Holy fucking hell that's fast !!! Wow I am impressed!!!

They are big little rocket ships haha. With ethanol I've gone 10.4 @132 and hoping to squeeze some more out of it

BrockDM... was going to buy a used b9 S4.. and follow the similar path of hybrid TTE710 turbo and get into the 10's.. appears this X3MC is the way, now.

Question. I keep looking at MHD and BM3 and they keep saying make sure you get a production date June 2020 and before so the DME can be unlock.

This is still true? When looking for one. I must make sure that the production date is 2019-June 2020?

Also.. did your's had to be OBD unlock?
