Oily exhaust on new X3

We just picked up our new 2013 X3 28i on Saturday from the dealer. Tonight I backed it into the garage which put the rear bumper close to the steps into the house. I sat in the car for three or four minutes fiddling with the radio.

When I got out I saw a patch of oily black water from the exhaust. Is this just lubricant I should expect as part of the break in period of the engine? I took a few pics I can add later if you want I see it.

For what it's worth, I also noticed it on our garage floor from my wife's new 13 X3.
