I would have preferred the 21s but went with 20s. This is due specifically to the availability and cost of tires. The only tires available for the 21s are summer tires. — which are expensive. Living in the mountains you need a max performance all season for the non winter months. It can be cold or even snowing in June. At which time the PZeros turn in to speed skates... so it was tough because I loved the 21s but I needed the utility

Reviving this subject if no one minds. Love the 21" rims but how is everyone getting along with them? I am torn between these and the 20's for my dark Graphite future order.

I liked mine but the tire choices were awful especially if you didn't want run flats so I switched to 699M wheels and couldn't be happier.

Any idea on the tread life on the new PZ4 RFT? They are rated 320 which is higher than the 220 the non RFT are rated for....Wondering if they will last for 20K mile or if I should only expect 10K on the PRF.

I really like how the 21's look on mine but they are a beating to keep clean.

I got the 21's on my '19 M40I and love them. They look great, and I'm really surprised how nice they ride, espcially for fun-flats. I have a '14 Z4 35Is with 19 in wheels and Michalin Pilot Supersport (non run flats) and the X3 rides much nicer.
I'm also peasently surprised how easy they are to keep clean. I use Eagle One A2Z™ All Wheel & Tire Cleaner and a speed wheel brush. I highly recommend the 21's, they are great!! |

I am fine tuning a build for order and am wavering due to all the complaints i hear about it being impossible to clean the 21's. Also the I always think a large disparity between wheel size and brake size looks kind of goofy if i can see daylight through the wheel. So leaning towards the 20"

Naw, I only keep cars a year or two so I don't do anything special on the outside of them besides keeping them clean and good wax/sealant.

My only concern is tire and wheel durability. I think the 21's look nice but I'm concerned I will be replacing tires and fixing wheels more often in the awful NY winters. Anyone have experience with the 20s or 21s through the winter and how they held up? horror stories? Coming from 2 hellish winters with my Golf R on 19s
